Alisan Jewell Powers, five years old, continues her story (along with her mother's help).

Hi!  Alisan Jewell Powell here!  I'm the one who wants to be a singer when she gets to be a grownup lady like my mama!

I am five years old.  I live in San Fransisco, California, with my mommy and daddy, and my baby brother, Ezekial, who is one.  I am in kindergarten.

I still want to be a singer; singing is probably my favorite-ist thing in the world to do!  I also want to be on "America's Got Talent"; they're having tryouts next weekend, and I am going to be there!  I want to be on there so bad it's not funny!

I'd like to be the next Kaitlyn Maher.  She was four when she was on the show; she is now six.  I think she is absolutely wonderful!

I still watch my "Star Search" tapes that mama taped off the tv; she was a teenager when Star Search was on, and that was her favorite program.  I can see why.  They had some awesome talented people on there:  singers, dancers, comic guys (and ladies), and bands.  They even had grown up ladies and men model.

I am looking forward to Easter.  We go to church, and this year I will be singing a solo.  I will be singing "Jesus Loves Me".  I hope I do a good job; I'll probably be scared standing in front of all those people watching me!

I am also looking forward to the end of school.  Summer break!!  I can go swimming, play with my friends, and maybe go to Chuck E. Cheese's or Domino's Pizza for lunch if I'm good!  I can also sleep in; I don't like getting up early for school!  I'd rather stay home and play all day!

Well, I gotta go.  Time to go to see Dr. Graham; I have a checkup today.  I will then go to school after I'm done at the doctor's.  I will write in here again soon; until then, this is Alisan Powell saying bye!  Pray I make it to "America's Got Talent"; that'd be a big dream come true !

~Love, your friend in California, Alisan Jewell.  :)

It is like that pageant circuit where the little darlings haven't a clue of what is going on but it seems that "mother dear" does.

Karen, this young'un sure has some wonderful dreams! But kinda wonder, like Mark Lichterman (below) commented: are these her dreams, or her Mama's? If they're hers, I hope she makes it! :) Well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

A five year old wrote this? (Yeah, I know who really wrote this). Sounds like this five year old has a Mama that is obsessed with fame that lost her chance and is going to push her daughter until childhood is gone for a great big, "maybe?" Maybe she'll be on "America's Got Talent" or maybe she'll be on "American Idol." Maybe or maybe not, but maybe, due to her mother's obsession, maybe Alisan Jewell Powell will lose her childhood because "her summer" may be her mother's attempt at telling us that her daughter does, in fact, have a regular childhood... But I doubt it!
