A man with disabilities is content with his life.

My name is Clem.  Clem Henry Pickard.  I live in Warner-Robbins, Georgia, with my mamma and my pet pitbull named "Rocky".

I am 35 years old.  I do not work because I am disabled.  I am in a wheelchair.  I was born with cerebral palsy and I cannot walk.  I also have epilepsy and sometimes have seizures.  My pitbull is my helping dog; he alerts people if I am about to have a seizure.

My pitbull's name is "Hoss".

Thank God I don't have them too often, but I still do have them, especially if I am worried about things or forget to take my seizure medicine.

I love my dog.  Even though he is a pitbull, he is a very sweet dog with a laid-back personality.  He wouldn't hurt a fly:  the worst thing he can do is lick a person to death.  LOL  He is so full of kisses!

And he takes care of me.  So does my mamma.

I am poor, but that's okay.  God still takes care of me.  He makes sure I have what I need in life:  clothing, food, shelter, love.  I have all that and more.  Besides my dog and my mamma, my neighbors watch out over me too; they say I am fun to be around.  I should be:  I love to laugh, and I have God in my heart!

I always like to tell people:  "I may be poor, but I have everything I need for joy!"  And I do! :)

I would like to write a book for children, to let them know what it is like to live with disabilities.  Sometimes people, they treat me real shabby because I can't walk, and that stinks.  Even adults tease me.  Sometimes the adults are worse than the kids, and it makes me very sad, because their parents didn't teach them how to treat people right.

Maybe I will.  I have all the time in the world, so why not?  If God can give me the words, then I can write a book.  Maybe it would become a best seller.  It would be great, because then I can get some money, and I can take care of my sweet little mamma and my dog!

Well, I gotta go.  I have to help mamma with the dishes.  I will write in here again soon; until later, this is Clem Henry saying so long and God bless!

~Clem Henry Pickard, your friend in Georgia, U.S.A.
