A story about a Pit Bull mix who has brought joy into a hurting man's life.

I have a pit bull mix that I have had for the past two years, and I swear he thinks he is still a puppy: he loves to play and romp around; he'd do it all day if he could!

Bobo came into my life when I needed him the most:  I had lost a very good friend to AIDS; his death hit me hard, like a ton of bricks.  I was so grief-stricken at losing Keith that I was contemplating suicide.  I couldn't eat, think, or function properly: I was losing weight, and I just wanted to stay in bed all day and wallow in my self-pity.

Well, another friend became very concerned, so he did what he thought was best:  I needed a pet (or so he said).  It was then when he brought me a wriggling little eight-week old bundle of fur into my life.

Enter Bobo.  Bobo has been with me ever since.

Bobo is the best thing that could have ever happened to me.  He is the sweetest, most loving dog you can ever imagine:  intensely loyal with a friendly, outgoing personality (nothing vicious about him: the worst thing Bobo could do is to lick you halfway to death! LOL); he loves to spend time playing or walking with me, his master, going to the dog park to visit all his canine buddies, sleeping in the cool shade (or in the pool) whenever it is hot or humid outs, and eating.

Bobo is a beautiful, rich russet color and his docked tail wiggles constantly, like a tiny metronome, especially if he sees people.  There isn't a person in this world that he would love to get to know: in Bobo's world, there is no such thing as a stranger; he loves everybody!

Bobo has golden eyes, a powerful chest, extremely strong legs, alert ears that stand up from his massive head, and a constant doggie-grin upon his face.  He never growls, but he does bark sometimes, especially when people knock on the door or ring the doorbell or whenever he sees a cat outside.

Since Bobo came, I find reason to smile again; I am learning to enjoy life.  I still grieve for Keith, and I shall always miss him; but I can laugh again.  bobo is the reason why.  I have overcome my sadness:  I refer to Bobo as not only my pet or my best buddy-pal, but as a life-saver because he has done exactly that, in more ways than one.
