A young adult wants to make it big in rap/hip hop music. This is his story.

Yo, yo, yo!  What's happenin', bros?

It's me, your b-boy, Razzle Dazzle.  Real name's Rodney, but for rap purposes, my homies (and just 'bout everyone else) calls me by my moniker, which is Razzle Dazzle (RD for short).

I have always wanted to be a rapper since I was a little kid.  I grew up listenin' to that shit.  LL Cool J., Jay-Z, Mystikal, Snoop E. Dogg, Queen Latifah, Li'l Romeo ... all those people, I grew up listenin' to their music.  I taught myself to talk real fast and rhyme; think I've gotten pretty good at this rappin' thing ... or so people have told me.

I am eighteen years old.  Live with my fam in the projects here in Newark, New Jersey.  Lived here all my life.  Neighborhood's the shits, but hey, at least I'm still here.  I thank the Old Man Upstairs for that one; if it were not for Him, I'd been pushin' up daisies long ago!

Workin' two jobs (convenience store during the day, Wal*Mart at night); have to in order to pay for the duckin' gas (and just about everything else; 'cause of the stupid fool gas prices, everything else goin' up in price, too)!  It's madness!!

I mainly like to rap and sing (dance too; I am a formidable break dancer), hang out with my homies or fam, and veg out when I'm not workin', but am tryin' to get a break into music.  People say I'm good, I just need more confidence in myself and more experience.  What the DUCK??  I've been rappin' since I was like six years old, knee high to a grasshopper!  I got the experience; I can rap with the best of 'em if they'd shut up and let me do my thang!!

I have two brothers named Chill and Radar (real names LaBonte' and Creel) and three sisters (ShyGirl, Rica, and Tay-Tay; real names are Shavonne, Rosica, and Taylor; they all younger than me; hell, LaBonte' and Creel still in nappies and drinkin' from sippy-cups!).  I'm the man of the house:  I'm their father too, 'sides bein' their big brother.  Our dad walked out on us after the babies were born; I personally don't want to have anythin' to do with him 'cause he's a mean drunk and he spends his SSDI money on booze instead of takin' care of us, his fam!

When I rap, I rap about my life: school, fam, my 'hood.  I have a lot of anger/frustration locked up inside me so this is why I rap/sing or break dance, as a way of dealin' with the frustrations and gettin' it outta my system 'fore it puts me into the grave.  A kid my age shouldn't have to deal with this crapola!

Well, I'm gonna go.  The Moms is callin' me to help out with the kids, so I'd best scoot before she cooks my azz for lunch and feeds it to the birds!  I will write in here again; until later, this is Razzle Dazzle sayin' peace out! I'm outta here!

~Razz.  :)
