A boy with cerebral palsy enjoys a day at the circus with his grandparents.

YAY!!  The circus!! Today we are going to the CIRCUS!!

Grandma and Grandpa both said if I was good, they'd take me to the circus on Friday.  Well, it is Friday, and guess what!! We're ON OUR WAY!!!

I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!  I am so hyped up I am afraid I will fall out of my wheelchair!!

I will have to make sure that Grandpa or Grandma buckle me in good and tight so I don't fall out!  That would be embarrassing!!

We are going to see the Greatest Show On Earth.  It is playing at the Coliseum here in downtown Birmingham, Alabama.  I have never been there but have always wanted to go.  Well, today is "Special Needs People's Day"; anyone who has special needs gets FREE admission!!  I guess that includes me 'cause I have cerebral palsy and am in a wheelchair!! (I CAN walk with crutches, but not for longer trips; I would be too tired and it would be very hard for me.)

I know I will have gigundo fun when I see the animals and the clowns and smell all those wonderful circus-y treats, things like cotton candy! Cracker Jacks! Juju beans!  Ice cream!  Funnel cakes!  Candied apples!  Corndogs!  Hot dogs!  Donuts!  Soda pop!  YUMMMY!!

I'm getting good and hungry already just thinking about the food!!

Grandpa and Grandma both said to me that since I behaved, they were gonna reward me with the circus trip.  They also said it was an early Christmas present!  Isn't that just the greatest??

Merry Christmas to meeeeeeeeeeeeeee .... :D

I will have to tell you all about my circus adventure when we get back home!  I know I'm gonna have the BESTEST time of my LIFE!!!!

~To be continued.~

Wonderful write, Karen!! Some of the small things in life that the adults can do for their children are priceless, for it brings so much joy for their little souls, which is so evidently-expressed through this writing. Well-d0ne, you gifted lady you!!
