Galveston Hurst of Buffalo, New York, continues his story.

Howdy from Buffalo, New York!

This is your friend, Galveston Jacob Hurst, writing.  I hope this finds you well.  I am doing okay; just wishing we could get out of school, but Easter Break isn't for a few more weeks just yet.  +Sigh!+

I am more than ready for a break!  I've had homework just about every night and I'm sick of it!  I'm also sick of the weather: supposed to rain just about every day this week, which sucks, because at the moment, there is a geomagnetic storm going off in space, which can spark bright auroras, and I want to see auroras, not lightning or rain showers!!

I'm getting moldy from staying inside.  And my sister Marina is being a pain in my butt!  She is bossy!!  My brothers Bolivar and Murdoch aren't being any better: they have been on a tear lately, getting into my things and just acting like brats!!

I'm kinda glad we're out of the snowy and cold winter pattern.  I am more than ready for spring time, baseball, flowers, and blooms on the trees, not to mention, warmer temperatures!!  I hope we have a good spring with plenty of opportunity for romping around outside!

My brother Bolivar, who has spina bifida, is okay.  Turns out he had a leak in his shunt, so they replaced it and he's on the mend.  He's also been getting spoiled, which drives me crazy!  He gets presents and the other kids don't get a thing, which totally bites!!  I know this is mean to say, but sometimes I wish I were the one who had spina bifida instead of Bolivar!  I wouldn't mind getting spoiled like he does!

Other than Bolly getting his shunt replaced, the other family members have been good.  I am hoping that we can go to Galveston, Texas, for Easter, but I don't see that happening.  Daddy has to work and we just don't have the money 'cause of Bolly being in the hospital again.  That took a nice chunk of change out of our vacation fund.  BOO!

Maybe Marina or I can talk Mom and Daddy into taking us to Galveston, Texas, this summer.  I would love to see the beach or feel the Gulf of Mexico (and sand) between my toes!  I love the crying seagulls and the smell of the ocean-scented air: there ain't nothing quite like it in all the world!

Well, I'm about done with study hall, so I'd best get ready for my next class, which is Current Events.  Yuck.  I HATE Current Events!  I will write in here again soon; until later, this is Galveston Hurst saying so long and God bless!
