Leila Chadwick has been allowed to go home from the hospital, where she had been for the past month and a half, recovering from chickenpox and complications as a direct result of the illness. Her husband, Leo, couldn't be more thrilled.

Home.  Home, sweet home!!

Home.  What a beautiful sounding word!

It has truly been a miracle.  God has answered all of my prayers.

Leila, my beautiful wife, is feeling weak, but that's to be expected.  She will probably feel this way for a while; she nearly bought the farm; it's only by God's grace and sovereignty that my wife is still even here!

I know one thing: Kyle, our six year old son, is wild with joy at the thought of having his Mama back home.  He won't leave her alone, not even for a second, but I have to keep reminding him that she needs her rest.  He is glad to oblige; after all, what would he have done if things turned out differently??

Mother is still here, helping out with the chores, and giving me a break from the demands of parenting a small child while I look forward to returning to work.  It has been a tough month and a half, especially with the bills already starting to pile up and not having any income coming in because of the demands of my wife being so sick and in the hospital.

I hope I have a job when I get back ... my boss has assured me that my job is safe, but the fear still sits there in the pit of my stomach, like a bad breakfast.

If Leila feels up to it on Sunday, we just may venture out to church.  And maybe a dinner out.  After all, it IS going to be Mother's Day this coming Sunday; she deserves the best of what life has to offer.  Kyle, Mother, and myself all plan on doing something mighty special to celebrate HER special day, and to celebrate her emancipation from the confines of the hospital realm.

I just wanted to write, to thank each and every one of you for your prayers and well wishes.  I know I couldn't have done it without them; I also know that Leila and Kyle couldn't have either.  I am thanking God each and every day for sparing my beloved wife's life and I will continue TO praise Him for the miracle that He's handed to us!

~The End.~
