It may say the second of June on the calendar, but at my aunt Bernice's house, it might as well be Christmas.
The reason I say that is this: Christmas happens to be Aunt Bernice's favorite holiday and she keeps quite a few of her Christmas decorations up all year long, even when it is July Fourth, Hallowe'en, or Thanksgiving. In her livingroom stands a majestic fake evergreen tree festoooned with decorations, tinsel, and white and yellow lights. She also has Christmas music playing.
I'm not kidding. On any given day, you will hear "Frosty The Snowman", "Up On a Housetop", or "O, Holy Night" playing on her stereo.
Aunt Bernice is what I would call "Christmas Crazy" (though some people would go as far as calling her "dotty", "ditsy", or "obsessed"). Anything that has to do with Christmas she has to have it, "to add to her collection". If you ask me, I think she is way in over her head with this Christmas kick!
Besides being obsessed, I think Aunt Bernice truly celebrates Christmas all year long. She is always spreading the message of Christmas all year long by doing "goodwill towards her fellow man" and bringing gifts to those in need. Bernice will do all she can to put others before herself.
I have never seen anything quite like it!
If you ask me, I believe the world can use a lot more people like my Christmas-crazy Aunt Bernice Q. Dexter! The world would probably be a lot better off!
