Crikey!! June already?? Where does the time go so fast??
Last time I wrote it was bloody January! Now school is about to end next week!
Scott here. Hope this finds y'all in fine fettle! As for me and my family, we are doing good: no worries! She'll be apples, as they say ...
Well, I got finals this week; not looking forwad to that, but as long as I do my best, then Mum and Pop, they should not mind!
Grandma Rosie is still here, but she got out of hospital last week. Pneumonia again. Thought for a while she was gonna buy the farm, but she made it through her sickness and she's back home, albeit weak; it's gonna take a while for her to get over her latest illness. Her lungs are all shot to hell ...
Darwin turned four last month and since the weather's gotten warm, he's been doing a lot better. He has always been rather fragile; he's another one we gotta worry about. If it ain't Grandma Rosie in hospital, it's Darwin. Seems his last illness has mellowed him out quite a bit; he's not nearly as wild as he used to be.
Small favours ...
Colbie, on the other hand, is as strong as an iron post, even though she's only seven. She can be a handful herself, though: little bugger is dotty over horses. She would love to have a horse of her own some day, but so far, Mum and Pop say nothing doing; bloody things are so expensive, not only to own, but to maintain ...
I still have me Pug, "Vegemite". He's the cutest little thing this side of Mars: he reminds me of a canine version of "E.T." All eyes and it looks like someone smushed his poor little face with the palm of their hand! "Veggie" loves to sleep with me and it's hilarious 'cause he snores loudly, like a little old man! LOL Yeah, "Veggie's" my little buddy; I jut love him so much!
We may be going to Australia later this year to visit family there. I hope so; I would love to go back to the Land Down Under: I miss me mates in Darwin, and I miss the food and the general atmosphere! I miss the lightning shows, too! It all hinges on how Darwin and Grandma Rosie's health holds out. I pray they stay healthy (or as healthy as possible) so we can go to Australia!!
Well, gonna run; it's too flippin' early for me to be up anyway. I just wanted to say a quick "hullo" and let me mates (and everybody else) how I am faring. I will try to write in here again soon; can't promise anything 'cause I'm such a horrid journal keeper! It's bad enough to try to get me to write thank you notes; it's like pullin' teeth! Take care and God blss; I'll talk to y'all again one day!
