Dear Journal~
Howdy! It's me, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux, writing! I hope this finds y'all well; as for me, I have been busier than a centipede in a toe-counting contest; that's why you haven't heard from me since July 4th! I hope you understand.
Between working (at work now, waiting to clock in at 2; I work from 2 to 6 today; I have a short day!), getting my class schedule for the fall quarter, getting ready for our upcoming wedding in September (on the 16th; we're getting married in Nashville, Tennessee, at my church), getting our passports ready, performance gigs (me), and keeping in constant contact with family and friends, well, it's no wonder you think I've disappeared off the planet! I haven't had time to take a nice, deep, cleansing breath: I'm constantly on the go, go, go!!
And that's not counting my physical therapy and doctor's appointments!
I am well, healthwise (or as well as I'll ever be; let's just say I haven't really had any issues with my tissues!), just extremely, extremely BUSY!!
About those passports. You're probably wondering what's up with that. Well, Michael and I have decided that for our honeymoon, we are going to Israel for two weeks. Michael has always wanted to go there ever since he was a boy (he's Jewish, you know), so to honor his heritage, that's what we decided. Of course he is extremely thrilled about it, as you can imagine. Well, I'm excited about it too: it's gonna be so awesome walking the same spots or seeing the places where Jesus ministered and preached!
I do wish we were in London, England, though: tonight's the opening ceremonies of the Summer Olympics (2012 edition); they will be going on for three weeks. I think that would be so cool! I have two close friends (they're married) who have been to the Olympics in Sydney, Australia (2000), Salt Lake City, Utah (2002), and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (2010); they had a wonderful time. They are also going to the London Games; this is their fourth Olympics they will have attended.
I pray the Games go without incident; I also pray the USA contigent does well; if not, it's still a thrill just to BE there, competing, I've always said.
Let the Games begin!!!!
I've been to London, England (and also Sydney, Australia) one time each: I went to London, England, when I was about eight (went to a country music festival there, Wembley), and I went to Sydney, Australia, when I was about nine. It was so cool seeing all the sights and listening to the unique way the locals talked! I was so charmed by their accents, and they were so very sweet to me and my family! (I did NOT, however, like the Vegemite I tried while in Australia: that stuff's NASTY!! LOL I still remember how it tastes to this day!! EWW!!)
Whoops! I'd best run along now: I'd write more, as I have more to say, but I only have six minutes before clocking in and starting my day at the campus bookstore! I'd best shove on out of here and get my mind focused on the task at hand! I will write again later; until then, this is Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux saying so long! May God bless you mightily!
~Love, your friend, Ronee' Le-Anne. :D
