My brother is so stupid.
He is currently at the ER, getting his eyes washed out. He is still screaming in pain; I can hear him howling from out here in the waiting room.
He also stinks to high heaven. I bet the people back in the ER are gacking something fierce; it's a wonder they haven't called the HAZMET unit on his behalf.
My brother can't see right now: his eyes are probably burning or tearing something awful. This is why he went to the ER.
Stupid boy kicked a skunk. He thought it would be hilarious to kick the skunk; well, Mr. Skunk decided he didn't want to be kicked, so he sprayed my brother good, right in the face. My brother fell to the ground, screaming and writhing in pain and bellowing that he couldn't see. There was a pink cloud in the air; none of us wanted to go near him, but we knew he needed help, so we called Dad to assist.
Dad was not happy. Dad also couldn't smell: he lost his sense of smell after an accident, so maybe not being able to smell the powerful stench was a blessing in disquise. He yelled at Herman and hauled him off to the ER.
I came with Ma, to wait for Herman. Ma and I now sit in the ER; Dad is back there with Herman and the ER staff. Hopefully he will be coming out soon, but from the looks of things he will probably have to be bathed in tomato juice and have his clothes burned ... anything to try to get rid of the stink.
I don't know what possessed Herman to kick a skunk, but that is exactly what he did. Now he is gonna have to pay the price. I tell you this much: my brother, who is 11 years old, never did have much in the way of common sense! I hope he learned his lesson is all I can say!
