The land of Higlah is full of ancient and enchanted tales this is but one.
Neiko, the son of Meilyn and Hrottgald, began his life like many others. He was raised with love and care, but not by his mother. Instead he was raised by his life slave, Ni Choelle. Ni Choelle loved him as if he were her own. She taught him of Trolls and Dragons and many other wonderous beasts. He was taught to be kind and generous, to love not hate, and to give not recieve. They lived together for fifteen years without any trouble from the orcs that lived on the mountains above them. But during those lovely fifteen years, an orc of the name Thorn had risen to power and had a taste for gold. And as Neiko was of a rich family, his home made for a good target. Thorn had obtained many dragons through raids of other castles and ruins. His plan was simple, destroy all that dare to move. And so Thorn flew in with the dragons, as his horde lay siege to the castle. Neiko was trapped during the raid and could smell the flesh of his beloved Ni Choelle burning in the fire. He was stuck there for five days. Filled with rage he vowed revenge. At the end of the fifth day he was found by a man named Guon Zhough Sching. Hearing his story, the old man told him of his arts and how he was a master of them. He then promised he would teach him the ways of necromancy so that he could raise the Hell Beast armies and seek revenge. In return for one favor, of course. The man asked only that when he killed Thorn he would bring him his largest tooth. Neiko quickly agreed to this request and was taught in little more than a year the ways of necromancy. And so Neiko raised his minions of death and rapidly lay seige to the mighty castle of Thorn, retrieving the tooth and returning it to the old man. And not to this day is there anyone who knows what the old man did with the tooth of Thorn. The End.
