Are you shipwrecked and without an anchor ?

Let us just for a moment lay aside all earthly cares. Some of us just never seem to attain satisfaction in life, and here is the main reason why: too many earthly cares! Having many earthly cares is like a ship without an anchor in a storm tossed sea. If we can avoid looking at anything that is base, this truly becomes an anchor that grips the solid rock and begins to usher in some satisfaction in our life. Some of us easily go astray from true satisfaction because we simply yield to worldly standards. What are these worldly standards anyway? Lust for power is on the top of the list. Another one is like it and that is vengeance. Get-rich-quick schemes are everywhere these days and they are deceiving, to say the least. You know just because we're in the world doesn't mean we have to follow along with some of its vanity. Here is another idea to consider: The more worldly material possessions we seek, the less satisfaction we possess. If we are satisfied with food, clothing and shelter, then we are surely on the right track to contentment. The world may aspire us to be successful, but all we really need is to be faithful instead. Faithful to what? To treat others like you desire to be treated. To be wanted, loved and cared for is the way to go. You might even find that you're quite capable of making a fencepost laugh! I encourage you dear reader to seek out the One who looks for lost sheep, only to leave behind a blessing, which requires a change of heart. Do not let the evil one sift you like wheat, but rather seek wisdom, which has great rewards. You may even be able to see that even every blade of grass has its own splendor. But how on earth can someone be satisfied with food, clothing and shelter when even these basics some don't have? Here is the answer: First seek the Kingdom of God and trust only Him, and then suddenly you'll realize that you already possess everything that is necessary in this life. Yes, the Atheists are correct when they say "religion poisons everything." But the true fact is that God didn't create religion, man did. The poison in this world exists because of man's willingness to yield to evil, which is deceptive absolutely. Here is my conclusion: Nothing will be able to make you stumble, so to speak, if you embrace all truth, which sets you free indeed. When you trust God in a humble fashion, you then invite Divine protection into the formula of your life. Can you see the "signs of the times?" Cheer up my reading friend. You don't have to be a lost sheep any longer, neither do you have to remain shipwrecked, for that is reserved only for those who choose to be arrogant and who lack humility, trying to play God. Just try to focus on another's need today and see what happens in your life.
