When the heart hurts, how is it healed? Are you afraid of evil tidings?

Is it possible that a leaf fallen onto the heart can leave an imprint? Let's talk a little bit about who or what is master over your heart. To examine the condition of the heart, we must first see if it is soft, mediocre or hard.  We must be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a great battle. I can say without any doubt that in general, people are searching for something. If we start our search in our hearts, we then overcome all the obstacles in this world that distracts us from what we intrinsically possess already; namely the conscience that distinguishes between right and wrong, evil and good. It took me a while to realize this but check this out: When we speak; is it necessary, is it helpful? When we attain to this discernment, our heart condition vastly improves. Sure, many a time we are in a state of ambivalence with this or that, but to be devoid of any truths to follow, this keeps us still searching. Searching for what? The meaning of our existence, that's what. You know I have become an avid reader and I found that knowledge was the edge that gave me an advantage in life to face adversity. I truly was dyslexic at one time but Lo and Behold, I published one book and my second is scheduled to make its debut in October, 2008. What I mean to say here is that SELF-CONFIDENCE has great rewards. When I looked into humility; my heart gradually went from hard, to mediocre to soft. Now I do admit that I'm not a very prolific writer, but I do have the JOY in conveying some self-help tidbits to any joyless searcher for joy. I consider myself successful in the sense that I myself have come from the abyss of an empty heart years ago. But I eventually learned that before I can become successful in anything, I must first be faithful. Faithful to what? Faithful to myself and true to myself. What follows then is a faithfulness to my fellow man, especially those who hurt and are searching for a happy heart. This is one of the reasons I wrote "I Stole the Turtle and the Octave Rule," to show interested readers where I was and where I am now. I have empathy for those who struggle to make ends meet these days, not to mention those in my prison ministry. See, there's the answer to a better heart condition. To live truly is to focus on the need of another, not on self. "He is not afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord" (Psalm 112:7) RSV.
