A rider entered the castle and bowed before the king as they handed him a message.
"What's your name stranger?"the King asked politely"My name is Danielle Merritt sir".

The King nodded as he smiled"Well Danielle I'm sure you must be very tired from your journey".
She nodded as she smiled"Yes sir it's a long journey from here to Crowak"he nodded as he called in his advisor,Bealor

"Bealor show our guest to her new quarters"he bowed as he replied"Yes sir right this way my dear".
Danielle followed him to a large room as she shook her head"This room is huge"he nodded as he answered"Dinner will be prepared within the hour until then make yourself comfortable".

Danielle smiled as she stepped out onto the balcony and breathed in the fresh air.
"What a beautiful castle"she thought to herself as went back inside to change before dinner.

The King read the message again as his advisor sighed"Your majesty shall I prepare the festivities?"
The King nodded as he replied"Yes according to this letter an apprentice trained by Maximilius is coming to our kingdom.

The King smiled as his wife entered the room"Ah my dear come sit beside me I have good news!"
She made her way to her throne as he told her the news"So Maximilius is sending his own personal apprentice to help us is he?"

"It look's that way dear and we're going to throw a party in his honor"she nodded as one of the royal guards entered"Sorry to interupt you majesty but I have important news".
"Alright brave knight the floor is yours"the knight removed his helmet as he spoke"We have found a cave west of here it's sealed with some sort of barrier spell but we think that it contains the necessary materials to build the new catapult with".

The King shook his head as he answered"Can you break the seal?"the knight shrugged his shoulders as he replied"Maybe but it's going to take at least one more wizard".
The King turned his head as he stared at his advisor"Don't worry brave knight I think we have just the right man for the job don't you Bealor?"

He nodded as he smiled"Indeed sir indeed"the King gave the entire castle new orders their main objective now was to prepare a feast for their guest of honor.
By now Danielle was getting hungry"I thought that Bealor guy said that they would be having dinner in an hour?"

Danielle shook her head as she sighed"Oh well maybe I'll just sneak downstairs and get me a little snack before dinner".
She opened the door as she peered out"Looks like the coast is clear besides I'm starved".

She made her way downstairs as a knight stepped in front of her and spoke"Who are you and what buisness do you have in Maklimore Castle?"
Danielle started to answer when Bealor spotted her"It's ok she's one of the King's guests".

The knight lowered his sword as he spoke"I apologize for the inconvienece malady please forgive me".
Danielle nodded as the knight disappeared back outside"What's going on around here?"Danielle whisphered.

Bealor smiled as he replied"We're throwing a party for our new guest he should be here within the hour".
Danielle nodded as she answered"Well I just came down here to get something to eat so don't mind me?"

Bealor stopped her as he spoke"Please join us in our celebration"she smiled as she replied"Alright lead the way".
Bealor lead her into a grand ballroom fully decorated and furnished with some of the most exotic foods in all the lands.

"Please help yourself try all the food on this table"she shook her head as she spoke"I don't know I mean you said this food was for your other guest".
"Nonsense there's plenty more where that came from so enjoy yourself"Danielle nodded as she sat down and started sampling some of the food.

The King entered with his royal guards as everyone stood and cheered"Our guest should be arriving anytime now".
Bealor helped the King to is throne as he smiled"The party is going very well don't you think your majesty?"

He nodded as he spoke"Yes Bealor I'm really looking forward to meeting this new apprentice".
Bealor nodded as a fiery arrow flew in the window and lit some of the nearby fabric on fire.

Everyone ran outside in panic as a small renegade group of Orcs hissed angrily they raised their weapons as they charged.
Danielle grabbed a small dagger from the table as she tried to fight them off"It's no use there's too many of them we've got to retreat.

The Orcs surrounded them as they moved in for the kill"I wouldn't do that if I was you"a bright light appeared as a handsome stranger stepped out and smiled.
"Don't you guys get it no one likes I mean look at ya you're hot-tempered,smelly,and really really ugly".

The Orcs turned their attention to the stranger as they raised their weapons"Looks like I've finally got your attention now where was I ah yes I remember now".
He continued to talk as one of the Orcs ran towards him"There's two ways we can go about doing this".

The stranger clubbered the Orc with his staff as he smiled"You can either go home and forget about these people or you can get your asses kicked either way suits me just fine".
They rushed towards the stranger as the sky opened up and a barrage of huge fireballs rained down upon them.

"Looks like you guys picked the hard way so how do ya like your Orc medium well-done or just burnt to a freakin crisp?"
Everyone looked on as the Orcs disappeared into a pile of ash"All in a days work"the stranger whisphered as he stepped into the light.

I always love a good fantasy-type story. I enjoyed this piece. Though, there young girl, seems to steal the light of the story, when actually it should be based around 'the stranger' Other than that...congrats.
