Joe took one look at her and just knew he had to have her

Helen was a waitress at one of Joe’s favorite restaurants he would frequent two or three times a week. She was very flirtatious and inviting. Joe didn’t ask her out for a long time because she was way too young. Only nineteen, barely half his age! Joe took one look in her and said to himself: “This girl is nothing but trouble.”
Helen had long wavy dark red-hair that was all natural. Joe showed up early one day before her shift and saw her with her hair down, wearing blue jeans and a tie-die tee shirt that revealed her young firm breasts. Joe took one look at her and just knew he had to have her. Helen took one look at him and knew she would be his. She was happy—she wanted Joe to have his way with her. Something odd happened to Joe. He felt completely out of control with this girl. Maybe it was the fact that she was still a girl, developing into a woman. It was more than just a sexual fantasy that pulled Joe in, although that was enough; after all, he had not been with a woman in a while. It was Helen’s honesty about herself in the world around her that Joe appreciated. Whatever it was, Joe knew he was going to do something about it.
All the other waitresses in the diner knew Joe and Helen had “eyes” for each other. Joe stayed away as long as he could. After he saw her out of uniform that day he waited for his chance to ask her out. But he hesitated, and a few days went by. For some reason he started to lose his nerve. Helen was nervous because she felt he did not want her. She really wanted him to lust after her. She liked Joe the first time she saw him. He told her he liked her nose ring and smile. Helen never forgot that and would look out the window each day around 8:00 AM to see if she could spot his truck. On the days he would not come she would actually get irritable around co-workers and even some customers. Joe on the other hand realized this was just a schoolgirl crush that would eventually pass. So why did he keep coming back? Helen was young and inexperienced, but she had the one thing no man could resist; charisma. Of course, her good looks and youthful exuberance didn’t hurt either.

Painful to see two people that belong together but won't because of whatever excuse there is.
