The World in debt!

The simple man has to pay and take the blame.

The world in debt
At one time it was a world at war, not anymore.
Now, it’s a world in debt and our politicians claim it will get better, wanna bet?
It used to be billions but now it’s trillions.
The people say, “Work it out, c’mon.” but their talking to morons.
They raise the debt ceiling because they don’t know what they’re doing.
They always want more, like a beggar at the door.
They say stay the course and things just get worse.

From Wall Street to Main Street the story’s the same.
The simple man has to pay and take the blame.
CEOs and corporate leaders write themselves a huge check.
Then bankrupt their companies then say, “Ah heck.”
I no longer recognize the country in which I was raised.
I’m left feeling helpless, powerless and dazed.
So while life is in me (to all politicians) I have this to say.
Your time will come and then you will pay.

I feel your pain and like the poetic style of your message. To paraphrase Doctor Evil from Austin Powers: "Why spend billions when you can spend trillions." Nice work Mr. Eads.
