TO THE YOUNGER generation giving up anything seems inconceivable, especially their precious gadgets. Now that I'm accustomed to my iPhone 5, I would not want to give it up either. I could get by without it, if I had to. I know this because I have lived without it before. The social media generation has not. Imagine the protest and riots throughout the country if the government arbitrarily took away social media, smart phones and even video games. There’d probably be a second Civil War. And there is a reason why the government would want to take away iPhones, because it exposes their unchecked authority. When I see five cops kicking an innocent person in the head when he's lying on the ground, there's a problem.
