Try and keep up. It's the same story..only another chapter.

All the while, 'the form' watched.

As a teenager, Paniteri liked stories of vampires and gypsies. For Halloween, she either dressed as one or the other. She thought about that while stirring her cup of tea. "Hmm, weird".

"I'll have to get David to massage that for me. I'm hurtin'." She slowly descended the stairs to the living room then to the kitchen where she prepared the coffee pot for some hot tea. * She stopped for a few seconds thinking she heard a strange noise. "Nah." She ignored it and continued with what she was doing. Although not a big fan of Marilyn Manson, one of the songs she did like came to mind just out of nowhere and she did a grimase and then smiled about it.

Outside, the local catholic church bell tolls the time. Paniteri loved that sound. She remembered thinking how like New Orleans outer limts her neighborhood was. She was so close to most everything that some days, she would ride her bicycle to and from work. "Well? I didn't hear you shuffling around my bed. Where are you?" She talked out loud to the quiet listening 'form'. Her hair all in a tangled black mass of natural soft curliness fell around her shoulders *hmph! She shrugs her comment off* as she got up out of the bed. "Ouch! Damnit boy!" she said as she felt a slight pain like a crick in between her neck and her shoulder blade *right in that soft area*. "I must have slept wrong or something." She lit up a cigarette as she picked up a pair of jeans from the floor and pulled them on. She tried to reach the painful spot to rub it, but her shoulder felt painfully stiff and she couldn't quite reach it.

At around 5 p.m. that same day, the southern sky began its transformation into dusk. The sky outside her window turned an orange pink with streaks of grey, and the distant sound of a siren could be heard. Paniteri slowly began opening her eyes, blinking once in a while as if she had to get a more clear picture of where she was. "Fuck! What time is it?" She rolled to her side and squinted at the clock beside the bed. "5 o'clock? GREAT!" She said to herself. " I only wanted to snooze. David will be home any minute now and before long, it'll be time for bed again." She sat upright and stretched our her arms to pop her sleepy bones. **you can hear little pull and pop sounds coming from her shoulders and elbows*

Her body then totally relaxed. That's what the intruder was waiting for. The total relaxation of the body. The late morning turned into late afternoon and she slept as if she had not slept in days. What she didn't know was that soon her life was about to change forever. In a surprisingly horrible and comedic way.

Nothing.

Eventhough she was in and out of rest, she managed to say in that mumbling that she does; "What are you waiting for? Go ahead. Aren't you going to bother me again?"

The 'form' sat crouched like a predator in one corner of the bedroom, as usual and just waited.

Minutes seem to drift into hours as her journey into that land of relaxtion took place. Nothing was making unknowing noises, just quiet..kind of deafening but nice at the same time.

"Dear Lord, what is it that seems to hover over me while I am trying to rest?" She stopped at the edge of her bed and undressed down to her t-shirt and panties so she could take a late morning nap. It was so quiet at home when it was just herself. She liked times when she could be a lone. Or was she really alone? Pulling back the crimson sheets, she got into position to lie down when she felt the hair on the back of her neck prickle just a little but enough that it gave her chills. "I wish the landlord would have someone fix the damn heating and cooling system in this place." She quietly mumbled to herself. "Oh my God, this bed feels so good." She pulled the sheets and comforter up around her neck and with a big sigh, she began closing her eyes.

"Goddamnit!" Paniteri swore, she wanted to feel safe while she slept and for some reason her body was hesitant about going into that state. "Why can't you just stop staring at me you sonofabitch?!" She felt the 'form' in the room again. When she was last downstairs writing, she felt it then as well. However there must be something about the bedroom this thing liked more than the other rooms in the apartment. She didn't dabble in the occult. She was smarter than that, she heard all about using Ouija boards and such that they can open spiritual doorways bringing in unwelcomed spirits into the world she sees around her.
