Father, If It Is Your Will, Take This Cup Away From Me; Nevertheless Not My Will, But Yours, Be Done.

When Life Gets Too Much. Think of Our Lord's Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane.

When life gets too much for you to handle and nothing goes right for you remember these words our Lord Jesus Christ spoke in the Garden of Gethsemane,

Father, If It Is Your Will, Take This Cup Away From Me; Nevertheless Not My Will, But Yours, Be Done."

I am a Christian and a Catholic. I have always tried to deny myself, pick-up my cross daily and to follow my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

My spiritual journey started when I reached the age of 20. I was baptized over in a little church which origins came from Alberta, Ontario, Canada.

When I decided to follow Christ, my marriage broke up because my first ex spouse denied that Jesus ever existed.

Our son was born in March of 1975, and I had him dedicated to the Lord, as Moses mother, Mariam, dedicated her son to the Lord as well.

My son, Georgie, was a little angel. He was far too good for this world, and at the tender age of three and a half months old, he passed away of a viral infection.

It is true like Sir. Elton John's song stated " We are all just like candles in the wind".

Some of us have long wicks in our candles and some of us have short wicks in our candles. Some of us burn slow and longer than others and some of us burn out and burn down faster than others.

My son, Georgie, came in to impart a little happiness in my life, and then his little candle wick burned out three months later.

My decision to accept Christ as my personal Lord and Savior is because none of us can ever live with out Christ in our lives. If we do think we can we are only fooling ourselves.

None of us can save ourselves either. If we think we can, we are only fooling ourselves.

Essentially, all of us are "Catholic" Christians.

"Catholic" simply means to be "universal" and "approchable" when the opportunity a rises we share the Good News of Salvation with whom ever we have a chance too.

We first remember, that we must not force the Gospel on anyone. This Christ would not approve of because he did not.

We set the example and if people see how we live, they will most likely want what we ourselves as "Universal" Christians have.

People must first realize that Christianity is not a Religion but a Relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Christian Faith is simple, but man has perverted the sacred teaching of Christ and turned it into something whereas, people will turn away from it.

Christianity gives us freedom from not freedomof.

Christianity is not based on good works and how many works one must do to ensure his/her salvation.

Christianity is based on that anyone that calls upon the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ will be Saved and that Salavation is a free gift From God through Jesus Christ, his son.

The Steps to Christ are simple: 1- Repent, 2- Be Saved, 3- Be Baptized, for remission of sins and furthermore, make a simple declaration of faith that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and recognize that you can not save yourself from sin. That you need a Savior to do it.

Separate yourself from the world and what is in the world. Because as a Christian we are in this world but not of this world.

Deny yourself, pick up your cross daily and follow Jesus. Lean on him, depend on him to provide for all your basic needs.

Remember to love your neighbor as you love yourself. This is the greatest commmandment.

Furthermore, remember, Politics and Religion do not mix. Just as oil and water do not mix.

Keep in mind: Church does not save you. Religion does not save you, works does not save, denomination does not save you. Only Jesus Christ can save and forgive you for your sins.

Here is a quote from one of my favorite movies. Steel Magnolias

God does not care what church you go to. Just as long as you go to church
.

Remember we are all one in Christ Jesus.

There is only One Lord, One Faith, and One Baptism.

We all share a common baptism in the Lord.

Remember "Let There Be Peace of Earth. Let it Begin with each one of us.".

God Bless.
