A little girl talks about her pet rabbit.

I have a baby bunny rabbit.  I got him as an Easter present from my grandpa.  I love him so much!

My bunny's name is Sooty.  I called him that 'cause he's all black.  Even his eyes and whiskers are black.  Not a bit of white on him at all.  He's black all over.  He is so cute!!

I got Sooty 'cause I was feeling sad.  Grandpy thought a baby bunny would cheer me up.  See, I was feeling sad 'cause some kids were being mean to me.  I have autism and sometimes I don't act like the other kids and they make fun of me.

I don't have many friends, but I now have one: Sooty.

I love taking care of him.  I feed him and Grandpy helps me clean out his cage (that stinks! Pew!) and give him his water.  I do this every day.  I have to because having a pet means that I am responsible and it shows that I am growing up.

I should be growing up.  I am seven and a half  years old!

I hope I have Sooty for a very long time.

I love holding him in my lap and petting his soft, silky dark fur.  I love it when he wiggles his cute, dark nose at me and blinks slowly while he does it.  I love it when he wiggles his ears and puts his paws around my neck, like he's giving me a hug.   His whiskers tickle and it always puts me in a better mood, especially if I have had a bad day or if other kids have been teasing me.

Well, I hate to go, but it's time to take Sooty for his walk outside and let him get some fresh air.  I will then give him some more food and clean water.  I hope you liked reading about my pet 'cause he's the best thing that ever happened to me!  I just love Sooty so much!!!!
