Everyone plays games so love can't get in. If you like someone don't tell them how much because then you have lost. It is called the love game. If you feel alot only let them know a little. Too many feelings can scare them away. ~Peace~

                  ~LOVE GAMES~

Sara thought she would never feel love again until her dream became a reality. She went out with her best friend for some yummy Mexican food when she ran into an old friend. Someone she had a crush on ten years ago, and never forgot about. She was worried he didn’t remember her from so long ago. He had a younger brother that she had a quick fling with after he left and didn’t want that to ruin her chances with him. She had butterflies in her stomach when she sat down next to him.

They locked eyes and she was instantly smitten all over again. He was the most handsome man she had ever seen and knew he would never want her. He was too good to be true . The entire evening went by so fast and she didn’t want it to end. For once, Sara wasn’t just dreaming of finding this perfect prince. He really did exist, and not just an imaginary prince. They spent the night together in each others arms. He made her feel like a beautiful woman and kissed every inch of her body.

He wanted her just as bad as she wanted him. When it is mutual you don’t have to play the love games, or do you? This amazing love affair lasted four weeks then went flat. She was so confused and hurt. She knew she should have played the hard to get love games. They had always worked in the past. She forgot about the game this time and lost big time. Why do we always want what we can’t have? Then when we get the prize we don’t want it anymore.

There is always one person that will get hurt when the love bug hits. When it takes over your heart, it feels like someone stabbed you. That is why so many people keep the heart closed. They keep it closed until they know it is safe to open again. Sara knew how to play the love games but felt a mutual connection. She wanted this person to be her only one. After she made her feelings known he fled. It was like they didn’t know each other anymore. He was suddenly too busy all the time.

Was he running away because he was afraid of the feelings in his heart, or did he never care about Sara in the first place? Once a girl gives in to sex the game is over. He made it to home base. Once you get a home run you’re done. Women do the same thing as men. They flirt and tease and then get bored when they score. Is everyone just afraid of the pain of love? Yes, love hurts a lot but we will never know the ecstasy of love until we give it a chance.

We might have our hearts broken a million times before that one special love slips in for ever. We never know if love is going to last. It might last a day or a week or maybe forever. Sara got to feel real love and passion for one month. It was the best month of her life. She can now say she has felt pure love and knows he felt it to. Some people think if they move on that the feelings will go away.  Maybe they will, and maybe they won’t. Only time will tell. Whatever is meant to be will always be.

We can’t make love happen. If we let it go, there is a chance it might come back. If it doesn’t come back it was never meant to last. Most important is to love ourselves. We are all different and that is what makes us special. If someone wants to change who you are that is not love. When you love someone you love everything about them.

I don’t know about the love games people play. I think if you really like someone you should say so, before it is too late. If it is too much for them, then move on. Don’t be mad that they didn’t feel the same. You can’t pretend you don't care when you are connected to someone. You know in your heart that they felt love. Maybe the love was so intense, and they were afraid. At least you felt it, even though it didn't last.

We have all had them.

They hit you like a ton of bricks.

Knocking you completely out.

You feel like a kid again.

Feeling the warmth inside.

Thinking forbidden dirty thoughts.

The pitter pat is beating loudly.

You want them so bad.

The wait is killing you.

Like Romeo and Juliet.

You have to be together.

Intertwined becoming one.

Or, it can hurt like a knife.

If it is only one sided.

Which sadly is a reality.

In that case we must go on.

Ah, I think we put too much pressure on each other. When we are trying to impress someone we care a lot about we even lie about ourselves to get the job done. Same with whoever we are interested in, they put their best foot forward, never showing their "bad" side. Of course all that changes when they marry, or start living together. Now we find out who that other person really is, and sometimes the shock is too much to bear, plus the daily grind and the bills and the . . . Well, you get my drift. Good piece.

Hi Chessly, We as humans seem to enjoy the love game. It is not like animal love where it is screw, do, thank you and be gone. We use our emotions to satisfy most of our needs. This is not a boast but in my lifetime I must have loved over 100 times and was loved another 100. Now I think back and wish if I could have another chance. It is like the great Sinatra song verse "beautiful girl walk a little slower when you walk by me". This inter-net infatuation thing can be real but it is without physical attraction. I sincerly mean this, I can and have fallen in love just reading a womans words.
Enough about what I think in my scatterbrain. This writing was a very easy read and to me means it was excellent. You are a very very good writer!!
