Once upon a time there lived a beautiful princess. No one knew about this princess because she was hidden away in a dark castle. Claire never felt love, or passion. She knew she had to escape but was afraid. Her bipolar prince would always find her, and bring her back as his trophy. He always considered himself a realist but in reality was a huge pessimist. He blamed all his misfortune on others, and lived a secret life. The secret life was a way to numb everything that was going wrong in his life. He would just sit in front of the fire and drink until he passed out every night. The big black cloud over his castle reminded him of what he had become. He had become a raging boozer so he could escape reality.
He completely isolated Claire from society. He made her believe she was stupid and fat. This bipolar prince only thought about his own selfish needs. Claire was very beautiful and innocent. He knew if she ever escaped she would find true love. He didn’t think it was wrong that she despised him. He didn’t care what she thought. He felt powerful controlling her every move. The bipolar prince had her locked away for twenty years before she finally broke out of the chains.
Her father once said; “You will know when you’ve had enough.” He saw the real person that he was and tried to warn his beautiful daughter before he died. One day, she reached her breaking point and knew it was finally time to have a normal life. Nothing could be worse than the life she was living. The first thing she wanted to do when she escaped was to feel the sand in between her toes. She twirled around and took in all the beauty. The sun felt so good on her face. She ran several miles before finally seeing a lighthouse. She knew that was the place she was supposed to go for help. When she was a little girl the priest told her to remember the lighthouse on the hill. She walked up to the lighthouse and felt a warm sensation throughout her entire body. It was the most beautiful place she had ever seen.
An elderly lady approached her and knew she needed help. The beautiful princess had been neglected for many years and it showed through her sad tired eyes. The nice lady took Claire to the guest room and she slept for days. When she woke up a nice gentlemen with glasses asked her if she needed anything. She felt very safe with him and started telling him her story. When she was done he had tears rolling down his cheeks. Claire had never seen anyone cry for her and she began crying too. After their eyes locked he pulled her close and hugged her tightly. The princess had never felt a warm hug before and it felt good.
The lighthouse was actually a library and the princess fell in love with all the books. She spent weeks sitting and reading every book she could get her hands on. After reading many love stories Claire began to get sad. So many years had passed without love in her life. Would someone still want her after hearing her depressing story? Would they really believe it was that bad? She was always told when you least expect love it will come knocking. Claire knew she had to love herself first before she could love another. It was her time to shine bright. Escaping the dark castle saved her soul, and gave her the opportunity to finally find real love.
