Uriah Daniel Quigley here. Hope this finds you well.
I am doing okay, just tired of school: more than ready for it to end!! Only the middle of March, and school is making me go stir-crazy!! The teachers say if I don't bring up my grades, I will flunk the tenth grade, and I will have to go to summer school! Nothing doing!! It's just that school is. So. Boring!!!!
As you can imagine, the parental units (aka Mom and Dad) are not thrilled about my grades. They keep yapping and harping at me to bring them up or else they are going to get rid of my three pets, Octavia, Chief-Many Eyes, and Web-ster! I don't even want to think about that; my spiders are my world!! I love them all too much!!
The kids basically still ignore me. That's fine. All they do is pick on me anyway about my geeky nature and my spiders. I'm sorry. I can't help the way I am!! I love my spiders, and sports or girls (or today's music scene) just doesn't interest me in the least!
Did you see the beautiful moon last night? It was the biggest moon I could rightly remember seeing. It reminded me of a harvest moon: when it rose, it was a brilliant orange color; it looked like an orange-colored basketball rising in the night-time sky. I took pictures of it; think they came out pretty good!
I want to become a professional photographer when I grow up ... that or a spider expert. Think I am gonna accomplish both goals, as I have my arachnids (three of them) and I have been taking pictures on a regular basis since I was ten years old. If it looks interesting, chances are I will snap pictures. Doesn't matter if it's a baby laughing or playing with its toes, lightning flashing in a storm-filled sky, the sun (or moon) rising (or sinking) in the horizon, or even action shots: as long as it looks good, I will take pictures. That is a proven fact. Have several scrapbooks full of my photos!
Well, I gotta go. Have homework to finish; it's due by Tuesday. Grrr. I HATE homework with a purple passion! I swear teachers think of new ways to drive us kids over the edge; it's no wonder so many kids (myself included) hate school so much!! Until later, this is Uriah saying so long! I will write in here again soon!
