It is not only myself that is in danger, it is also my Mother, because she is standing beside me. She believes in me and for that she can be in danger. What kind of nation punishes a Mother for believing in her only child?

Tehran Iran:

March.10.09

All we can do is wait, and wait, but waiting can mean death for us.  We wait for our Visa's so we can leave this God-Forsaken land, where a girl can be killed just for not going by the laws, and already they perceive me guilty, what kind of justice can I get in the Iranian courts?

It is not only myself that is in danger, it is also my Mother, because she is standing beside me.  She believes in me and for that she can be in danger.  What kind of nation punishes a Mother for believing in her only child?

Mamma and I know that our hope lies in America, and we pray daily that we will get that Visa, and head off to America.  We are only seeking a place where we are not treated like animals for not adhering to the ridicoulous Muslim Laws, that are forced on us.  I have nothing against the Muslims who practice their beliefs and let others practice what they believe, but I do have something against a religion that a nation tries to force on you.  I have many friends who are Muslims but they can not safely admit that they are my friends, or they may very well be imprisoned.

God Bless

Farrin

I hope Farrin and her mother can get their wish: their visas, so they can go to America, where they can be free. Well done, Michelle; brava!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

This is a cute story about Farrin the little Iranian girl. Mothers over here don't believe in their daughters when they make accusations of rape, or abuse against a father, stepfather or mother's boyfriend. How can we expect the men, police and courts to believe girls, when women like their own mothers, who know what happens to girls, because they were once girls themselves, don't even believe them?
