Santa takes time to write to the children of the world from the North Pole.

November 26, 2010, North Pole~

My dearest children~

Ho, ho, ho!  It is me, your Christmastime buddy, Santa Claus -- yes, THE Jolly Old Elf, himself!  I trust you all had a very good Thanksgiving; now it is time to focus on the REAL reason for the Season, which happens to be my personal favorite time of year, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

My elves are working nearly around the clock, busily making the gifts I plan on bringing to each and every one of you on Christmas Eve!  Hard to believe that Christmas Eve/Christmas is almost upon us once again ...

Ms. Claus has been doing her very best to fatten me up so I can be warm during my trek around the world.  You don't want to see a skinny Santa!  She has been feeding me her famous recipe of roast pork with glazed honey and pineapples on top; it's almost like tasting Heaven, it's that good!   Yum!!

Now that the winter time is nearly here, it is getting dark; soon it will be dark just about all day long, with nothing but the lights from our house/workshop (and the northern lights) lighting our way.  And, of course, let's not forget Rudolph's magnificent, shiny nose!  :)

Comet, Rudolph, Donner, Blitzen, and the rest of the reindeer are getting in shape for their Long Journey.  I make sure they practice their reindeer exercises and games; that way, they can be at the top of their form when it is time for me to do my duty.  They know that Christmas can't be far off, so they are all very excited!

Now to the heart of the matter: you, my darling children.  I certainly hope that each and every one of you have been behaving for your mommies and daddies (or even your grannies and grampas), and I hope that life is treating all of you well.  If not, I certainly want to know that you are in my prayers and thoughts, and I pray that your suffering eases and that your lives get better soon!

Like little Faith.  Or little Elijah.  I know that you both are not feeling good; there is nothing I want more than for you both to be in remission from your cancer!  Or better still, a cure for cancer, so you (and other children) would no longer have to die or suffer needlessly!  I have been keeping tabs on Facebook about your latest news, and when you are doing well, I rejoice, but when you aren't, I cry.  I just want you both to know that you are in my prayers and you will always be.  I will certainly be doing something extra special for you both this Christmas; you can count on me!

And Elizabeth, Parker, Carter, and Dory, who are worried because their parents lost their jobs and they are scared that they won't have a Christmas.  Well, let me reassure you, Parker, Elizabeth, Carter, and Dory.  You WILL have a Christmas, even if I have to personally deliver it to you!  NO child deserves to be sad on Christmas Day, and NO child deserves to be without a present, or at least a Christmas tree!

And then there's Pelton, who lost his mommy in a car wreck this summer.  I am so sorry, Pelton.  I am sure you loved your mommy very much.  I know you must miss her terribly!  If there is any way I could take your pain or tears away, but only God can do that.  All you can do is pray and remember the good times you shared with your mommy when she was still alive.  Nothing or nobody can ever take that away from you; she is in you, and she will always be.  She lives in your heart, and she is in Heaven, watching out over you.  I am sure she misses you too, little buddy!

Ian and Isaiah, you recently had a birthday, didn't you? Well, Santa has something extra special for the two birthday boys!  And you will certainly be getting some great presents from me; I will personally deliver them to your house on 395 Twin Rivers Lane in Nashville, Tennessee!  (See? I know where you live! Santa knows everything! It's because Santa is magic! :) )  Let me wish you both a belated Happy Birthday!  Ho, ho, ho!!

Johnathon, how are you enjoying that computer I brought you last Christmas? I am happy to know that you are still around. I have been praying for you and your family, and I am glad that you still believe in me inside your heart.  You truly have the spirit of Christmas all the year long, and I am more than happy to do anything for you!  I love you, brave boy!

Ronee', I am happy you are driving and are going to go to college in January, plus you are  working.  Good for you!  You have really grown up!  Seems I first met you when you were only a small babe; now  you are nearly eighteen years old!  My! How time does fly!  Ronee', I will certainly be bringing you the new backpack and the new art supplies you want for Christmas.  Oh, and by the way:  Happy birthday; you share a very special birthday!  My birthday is on Christmas Day too, but I usually spend it sleeping all day! LOLOLOLOL

Jamar and Hulda, I will bring you a new puppy.  I know you both miss your little Pomeranian puppy, "Skittles", who was killed by a big dog this past spring.  I am so sorry this  happened to you!  I know it won't be like having "Skittles", but "Skittles" lives on in your heart, and you have the memories and pictures.  I will try to see if I can find a little Pomeranian puppy that looks a lot like  your "Skittles" did.  I promise I will do my best!

Usha, I will try to take the sadness away, the sadness you've felt since your daddy killed himself.  He died one year ago on Christmas. I can understand if you don't celebrate Christmas because to you it only brings pain.  If I could take away any of the sadness you or your family feel during this time, I would, but I am not God, and only He can.  All you can do is pray for strength and to ask Him to guide you during this time of year.  I will certainly be praying to him on your behalf as well.  Yes, Usha, even Santa Claus believes in God and prays, because He IS real!!

Well, Children, I have to run along.  Mrs. Claus wants me to clean out the reindeer shed again.  I will write soon, and I will also see you as well on December 24.  Please do your very best to be good, and please say your prayers!  I am watching you and checking my list, to see who is being naughty or nice!  Please don't disappoint me; it makes Santa Claus cry when you misbehave!  God bless each and every one of you and I will see you very soon!  Love you and Merry Christmas!

~Love, Santa Claus.

Precious, precious story, Karen, but I wouldn't 'reveal' the presents. It spoils the surprise of Christmas. :) Well done, anyway.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Hard to believe that Christmas Eve/Christmas is almost upon us once again ...

Very hard to believe, indeed. And I truly hope that every child has a very good one.
