Colbie Colbert here. Kaitlyn Ashley's mom (and also mom to Granger and Diamond).
I am happy to say that Kaitie is home from the hospital! She came home several weeks ago, and she continues to recover from her recent heart surgery. I am so glad the fear/uncertainty is behind us at last: her doctors think that this latest surgery might have done the trick!
Thank you all for the prayers, on behalf of my daughter! We couldn't have made it through without them! God is indeed worthy to be praised; He brought my daughter back to renewed health!
Now we can concentrate on getting our place ready for the holidays. In just a few weeks is Thanksgiving; then, after that, Christmas. It won't be long before the kids start asking about Santa Claus! I will have to make sure that they be on their very best behavior, so Santa can see them on Christmas Eve and bring good little girls (and one lone boy) their Christmas loot!
I do know one thing I am getting Kaitlyn for Christmas: she absolutely adores Kaitlyn Maher from "America's Got Talent". She has a new CD (her first) coming out later this month, and I know she will enjoy that! I will have to be in line for when it does come out at the music store! Also, Kaitlyn is starring in a few movies in the coming year; she is going to be a little actress besides being a talented little songstress! God's gifted this child with an incredible talent; she is a blessing to all who have seen her or have heard of her!
Another child I love is David Militello, who is one of Kaitlyn Maher's best friends. He was on "AGT" at about the same time Kaitlyn was, and even though he's five years older, his story is no less amazing. He didn't talk until he was three years old, thanks, in part, to a form of autism; singing has since opened up a whole new world for David, and he's proven to be a dynamic little entertainer/actor himself. Like Kaitlyn Maher, David Militello is really going to to go places!!
If David Militello has a CD coming out, I'd like to get a hold of that, too (for me). I just love him so much!
Kaitie's still a little sore, but every day she hurts less and less. She is returning to her former bubbly self, and I can't thank God enough for blessing me with her (or with Di and Granger; they're my other miracle-children, too)! It won't be long before she's tearing around the house as she was prior to getting sick/needing opoen heart surgery!
The weather here in Louisiana has really turned stunning: pristine blue skies, delightful temperatures, and very low humidity levels, after weeks of storms and/or heat/excessive humidity. I am so glad the summer has finally left; I am more than ready for winter!! :)
Too bad it doesn't snow that much here; snow somehow brings out the magic in people, young and old alike. Last year, we had snow, for the first time in something like eight years, and we could not get enough! It's too bad the snow didn't stick around long enough!
Well, Kaitlyn's calling me, as is Granger, so I will see what they need. I will write in here again soon; let me wish you an early happy Thanksgiving and a very merry Christmas! God bless you and have a great day!
~Love, Colbie Colbert. :)
