Bill is very worried about the weather currently going on in Tennessee, where he lives.

Dear Journal~

Bill Sandusky here.  I'm afraid I'm not doing well.  I'm in a lot of pain, and no mattter what I do, I can't get comfortable.  And the weather outside currently is not helping matters any.

Currenlty, our area is under a tornado watch, a flash flood warning, and a flash flood watch.  It is raining buckets outside.  Johnathon's weather radio is going off, and the noise is starting to get on my nerves!  Several times the power's tried to cut out, but it comes back on shortly thereafter, thanks to the generators we have outside.  All of us are holed up in the saferoom; it's making for some pretty cramped conditions.

While we cannot hear the weather going on outside, we can tell the weather means business.  According to www.noaa.gov, the national weather service site, we are under a moderate to high risk of severe weather, including the possibility of violent, long-lived tornadoes, very large hail, flooding rains, and very high winds.  All of the storms are expected to quickly go severe, so it looks like we will spend a lot of time here in our saferoom today until all of this passes to the east.

Poor Ronee' is beside herself: she figured she'd come home to sunny skies or dry conditions here.  Not so.  Today is our turn for bad weather, and it certainly is starting up to become that way.  There are tornado warnings to our west (storms tracking northeastward), and there are training thunderstorms currenlty going on.  I just hope this doesn't lead to the catastrophic flooding like we had nearly two years ago, in 2009!

I can tell Ronee' is scared.  Well, the feelings is mutual.  I can tell my blood pressure is high, and my nerves are on edge.  I am shaking like a leaf and I am trying my darndest not to let my fear show, so as to not scare the children or my wife.

----------------

Power tried to go out again, but it's back, thank the Lord.  Sorry about that ....

I'm just glad Louie is off work today.  I don't think we are going anywhere today until all of this clears out of here.  I feel so much better knowing that she's here and not out in this.  Small comforts.

Brittnee Rowlett, Ronee' 's college roomie, is so scared she is sitting in the corner, rocking back and forth, and crying softly.  I told her we are in the safest spot we can be; nothing can penetrate these walls.  When the power flickers, she grabs a hold of me tightly as if she'll never let me go.  It's hard to type with a teenager clamped to your arms!  LOL  Ronee', meanwhile, is sitting there, trying to amuse herself by playing on her laptop (as I am), but the alarm from Johnny's weather radio is very distracting for all of us.  It is hard to concentrate with that thing jangling constantly!

I know the kids are bored: they want to go outside, but I said, nothing doing.  It isn't fit for man or beast outside; we're all much better off here.

I don't know how we'll manage the weather today, but as long as we don't have any damage, then that's fine.  Just pray for us; pray we get through this stormy period without too many problems, and pray that we don't have major damage to our house!  I would greatly appreciate it!  Thanks in advance!

~Bill.  :(
