I can not believe I did not know my best friend was engaged. I guess that happens when your best friend lives on the other side of the world for a couple of years, but he has moved her to Austin to be closer with her.

Jan.19.2011

12:15 A.M Austin Texas:

Greetings, I am sorry it has been a few days since I last wrote, but the news is both good and bad.  Susie is more stable now, because they found out she has the flu, she is on a respirator, and on the right meds, but she is still in a catatonic state, and the fact is I am kind of shocked, because I found out today Susie is engaged.  Her fiance showed up at the hospital today, because he wanted to be closer to her.

I can not believe I did not know my best friend was engaged.  I guess that happens when your best friend lives on the other side of the world for a couple of years, but he has moved her to Austin to be closer with her.

I am going to have to go home soon, Aunt Kendra is going to need help she has to take Kate in for a surgery, that will help to loosen the muscles and tendons in her feet, who knows maybe it will allow Katie to walk with the aide of crutches or braces.

Me I am doing well, though of course I am hurting.  I hate seeing my friend like this, and I feel bad because I have to get back to Nashville for one thing I have a new set of prosthesis coming in.  And though I am being more careful and walking less, I want to have to have the option of being able to walk and thats not possible without the prostetic legs.

I just wish Susie was awake so I could talk to her, and tell her whats going on which I do, but I wish she could tell me how she felt too.  I am sure she is listening I really do believe she hears me when I talk to her, but I miss the long chats or just sitting back and watching a movie with my best friend.

Well I know Johnny will be happy to see me but I don't know how long I will be at home, because of all that is happening with Susie, the truth is I am not sure of much at the moment.

Yeshua Bless

Rebekka Rachel~

The news might get a little bit better for Rebekka: Johnny wants to ask her hand in marriage. He wants to pop the question to her when she comes to Nashville. Glad Susie is engaged, but sorry she is still in her present state. Hopefully this will bring her "out of it"; you never know ... hope springs eternal, as they say ... Good update! Well penned~

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :D
