"You don't know when to shut up do you?"

“Your nightmare has only begun.” The sinister voice brought chills to me each time I heard it.

“What do you mean?”

“You will find out soon enough.”

“Haven’t you done enough damage, you are the reason my best friend is in the hospitalized paralyzed.”

“She was an unfortunate victim, it was you I was after.”

“How could have my books hurt you so much?”

“Are you that stupid?”

“What are you talking about?”

“I killed your friends that night, I was the one who was driving drunk and now no one trusts me no one believes anything I say. They think of me as a murderer.”

“Anyone who gets behind the wheel drunk then kills someone is a murderer.”

I knew I was playing with fire in my situation but I could not keep my mouth shut. I could not let myself be quiet when it came to the death of my best friends they should not have died that way, and this man had killed them, had got behind the wheel drunk.

Lord get me out of here, Corrine needs me, and I do not want to die here. This man can’t kill me like he killed my friends.

I hated being there, hated being near this man, this man who hated me for a reason I didn’t understand. Yes I had written the books, but I had not named him, I didn’t know that he was the one who had killed my friends until he opened his mouth. I didn’t know that he was the stupid one who had decided to get behind the wheel drunk.

“You shouldn’t be talking to me like this, you are in no situation to talk to me like that. You need to watch your mouth, before I shut it up permanently, the more you talk to me like that the sooner I kill you.”

This man was scaring me, but I could not let him know that. If he knew that I was afraid he would have the upper hand and I could not give him the upper hand. There was no way I could let him win, not after all he had done. This man had done enough to my friends and I. He had hurt us enough and I was not going to let him see my fear.

“You think I am afraid of you but I am not, you are not going to win.”

“I am already winning.”

“What do you think you are winning?”

“I am winning over you, I have you in my grasp, and when I feel like it I can shoot you, and I will no longer have to deal with you.”

“You can also get the electric chair.”

“Only if they catch me.”

“Oh believe me they will, you have a trail of evil behind you.”

“Threaten me again and your friend will be the next one dead. The same penalty for one body as for two?”

“Were you born evil, or did you learn this somehow?”

“You will never know.”

How am I going to get through this Lord? I need your strength to get through this and your wisdom? I need you Lord, I can’t fight this alone. I know that you are my strength and my guide. You will help me through this Lord.

“You know you could change your ways? You could give your life to Christ?”

“Are you really insane, now you are preaching at me.”

“I am not preaching at you, I am just sharing with you the love of Christ.”

“I am not one of those holier than thou types and nor do I want to be.”

“You don’t want to be forgiven of all your sins?”

“I don’t need forgiveness.”

“We all need forgiveness.”

“Why are you talking to me like this? You know I could get really annoyed, pull the trigger and kill you. I have your life in my hands.”

“I gave my life to the Lord and he has protected me, and he will continue to protect me, and I know that I will go to Heaven when I die. Do you live with that knowledge?”

“Shut up!”

Faith had no idea what made her start talking about the Lord to this man, but the Lord had spoke to me that was the only explanation I had for this. I could not explain it any other way. There was no way I would have done this without the Lord putting it on my heart.

“You really should listen to what I have to say, all you have to do is give your heart to Jesus and then you are forgiven. You will have to change your life around, but once you give your heart to the Lord that will come easier.”

“Are you so stupid you don’t understand what shut up means?”

“I am not stupid no, I am just sharing with you what a relationship with the Lord can do for you.”

“You are dumber than you look.”

“Your name calling is not hurting me.”

“This gun can.” He said waving around a pistol.

“I refuse to be afraid the Lord is with me.”

He shot off a fire in an effort to stur me, but I was stronger than that. The Lord had given me the strength I needed. He was helping me fight this battle without a gun in my hands.

“How long are you going to keep me here?”

“For as long as I can stand you, then I am going to kill you. Bang, bang your dead.”

“You are sick, ask the Lord’s forgiveness and he will heal you of that evil sickness that you suffer from.”

I felt like I was talking to a little boy, a little boy who had more power than he knew how to deal with. Deep down I wondered if he really was like that scared little boy with more power than he knew what to deal with. I hoped that he wouldn’t snap before I got out of his grasp but at the same time I could not keep my mouth shut.

Lord you have to get me through this, help me fight this, I need your help Lord, get me through this battle. Help me not get this man so angry that he pulls the trigger.

“I don’t understand how you can be so calm, when I am pointing a gun at you.”

“It’s the Lord who gives me strength, it is only him I am to fear.”

“You really should fear me, your life is in my hands.”

The man fired another bullet at the wall, waiting for me to freak out, but I wouldn’t. I couldn’t.

“Fear not.”

“That is not going to get you far.”

“It will because I am only to fear the Lord.”

“Will you shut up about your faith.”

“Will you put that gun down?”

“Are you crazy?”

“No and no I will not shut up about my faith, you need to hear it.”

“I don’t need to hear anything.”

“You may think you don’t but believe me you do.”

“Don’t tell me what I need, you are in no position to be telling me my needs.”

“And you are in no position to argue with me, because if you don’t ask for forgiveness you are going to pay for your sins with an eternity in Hell!”

“Shut up will you!”

“No I am not going to shut up.”

Another shot fired. He aimed at me but missed me I knew that was the Lord’s doing and I thanked him for it.

Thank you for the shiled of protection wrapped around me, I know it is you who has protected me and I owe you a thank you Lord.

“How could I have missed that shot?”

“The Lord intervene, it’s not my time.”

“Next time I won’t miss.”

“No matter how hard you try you can’t beat the Lord.”

“You have a big mouth.”

“I am just stating a fact.”

“Yeah right, you live a fantasty, God this, God that, blah, blah, blah.”

“You are the one who lives a fantasy thinking you can outwit God.”

“I don’t believe in God.”

“For some reason I don’t believe that, because you wouldn’t be so offended every time I mentioned him if that was true .”

“Who are you to say what I believe in and what I don’t?”

“I can just tell. I use to try to hide from God too, but it just doesn’t work, you need to discover that.”

“You don’t know how to shut up do you?”

“ Not when it comes to talking about my Lord.”

“You are persistent aren’t you?”

“When it comes to my Lord I am.”
