Louisiana Sandusky's friend in Prescott, Arizona, answers her email. She is delighted at the news in which her friend has shared.

Monday, June 20, 2005, 2:47 p.m., M.D.T.~

Dear Louie~

Hey, my Native Sister! How are you doing? I thank you for your delightful letter of several days ago; it was so nice to hear from you again, and it is so good to know that things are going well for you and your family! So you are adding another child to your already larger (than normal) family! How wonderful! Is that little girl in the picture your new child to be? If so, she is very cute!! I bet you can't WAIT to get your new little girl!

I was also happy to learn of Kendra Williams adding to her family. Seems that the people I know have been bitten by the adopting bug! That is a wonderful thing to do, but I don't think I could handle another child; Karla is more than enough as it is! She is doing a LITTLE better, and she is busy taking care of me and Mother. I am doing a little better myself, but I am still coming to terms with my leg, and the pain associated with the injuries (and then the amputation) that I sustained; and at times, it is a never-ending battle for me. I also think of Keith, and how I still miss him; I wish he was still alive and here with me!! Things would be so much easier for us if he was still alive!! But no, thanks to those heartless bastards, my husband is dead, and I am living life as an amputee.

How is your friend in Alaska--Jenna Aurora--doing? Hopefully she and you have made amends and apologized...it is not good to be angry with one another. Anger only causes hostility, and it only gets worse...I pray to the spirits that you and Jenna make up...

I am sorry about your friend in Texas, Diane, dying from brain cancer. That is so sad!! Did Diane have any kids? How many? I hope and pray that her husband and kids find the peace and understanding needed to get through this rough patch in their lives...she seemed like a nice person, judging from what you have described in past letters...

How is the weather there in Tennessee? Here it is still the same old, same old...HOT and DRY. We need rain desperately, and I hope we don't have any fires this summer! They are scary, especially if they are relatively close and you can see the smoke or smell it (or worse, see the flames)...if you can, can you send us some rain?? We'd really appreciate it!

Louie, I am most happy to learn that Ronee' made it through her surgery, and I am equally happy to learn that Johnny's illness hasn't worsened! That is terrific news! I bet you are relieved that the tests and surgery are behind them (and you)...I know how that is...I am the same way whenever Karla falls ill...when she is in the hospital, I worry that something horrid is going to happen to her! Same goes with Mother!! Is Ronee' still in the hospital, and how is she feeling? How is Johnny doing? Is he home from the hospital as well?

Well, I have some news to share with you as well...my cousin, Theresa Maria Delgado (she lives in Mesa, Arizona) is going to be staying with me...she heard that I was home from the veteran's hospital, and she hasn't seen me since before I went to Iraq, and she wanted to see how I was doing. She will be coming sometime within the next several weeks, and I will be so happy to see her! It's been too long! So we will have another face in the Piestala household!

I have to go now...Mother needs to use the toilet, so I had best go or there will be an ugly incident on the floor like there was last time...I will write more later. Until then, take care, and may the spirits bless you and your lovely family always!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your Native Sister in Arizona, Wyndi Storm Piestala. :)
