Dear Louie~
Thanks for writing; it was soo good to get your letter! I appreciated the time you took to answer my questions pertaining to adoption! I did check that site you listed, and I found lots of helpful information. Next I will be making some phone calls, and hopefully something will go on from there. Just keep me in your prayers, that is all I ask!
I am praying for your friend and neighbor, Maria. How sad that she lost a child! By now the funeral probably happened, and I hope you were there for her! I would be if a neighbor or a good friend needed it! That was nice of you to do that! Tell Maria that if she wants to write to me she can; I don't get much in the way of mail (excepting for bills or junk mail that is! LOL).
How was your son Johnny's surgery? Hopefully he made it through with flying colors. I have been praying for him, and also for your daughter, Ronee'. I hope her ankle is doing better!
I was sorry to learn that you lost all three of your birth children. That's terrible! Is that one of the reasons why you decided to adopt, because you were afraid to try to have another child of your own? I can understand the fears behind that, but I am glad you chose adoption. The children you are raising are very lucky to have you for their mommy and daddy, and they are certainly a good looking bunch!
I am sure you miss L'Acadia, Pierre, and Aron even now. Do you ever go to their graves? Where are they buried? I hope that you never forget your deceased children! That would be horrid!
We are still bakin' here in north central Texas. No signs anytime soon of any break from this stagnant pattern of heat or dry weather; we are in a critical state, and each day that goes by without any rain just adds fuel to the fire. There have been many grass fires here (especially west of here), and sometimes the air turns smoky, and you can smell it. That is when we get scared because we are afraid one of those fires are going to come here. I don't know what I would do if we lost our home to a fire!
I am glad that Nashville is getting relief from the heat. Hmmm..seems that everyone is getting relief but us in Texas! That is what drives me crazy about summertime in Texas: once it gets hot it stays hot for weeks and weeks on end! I guess we will have to wait for relief until later September or October, which is what usually happens here in Texas!
Well, Louie, I will go for now. I have cookies baking in the oven; figure I'd get my baking done while it was still cool enough. Later on Dwight and I will probably go out to eat; it's just too hot to cook here! We will probably eat at Pancho's or maybe even Fire Mountain or the Golden Corral; it's hubby's choice!
God bless you, Louie, and have a beautiful day! Enjoy those children of yours!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in sunbaked Texas, Eileen Marie Weston. :)
