TV Today Show and Br1an Williams have done excerpts lately on how easy it is for the teenagers to purchase Rx drugs on their computers. I did a story on this which was much better than their news. What a shame as I witnessed personally these words from the nurse who admitted this young, disturbed lady.
Action/Thriller
Scuttlebutt at the Detox Center.
Seventeen year old daughter addicted
on drugs she ordered from computer Pain Clinic. Been going on three years.
"My daughter is so upset, it was so hard to get her to finally break down and be admitted to the detox center."
The saddened mother shared with me.
This has been going on for three years. What in the hell has prevented the mother from correcting this problem child?
I was shocked when she told me her daughter had built up such a tolerance to Oxyconten and Lortabs!!!
She began three years ago by getting a prescription filled on the computer for these drugs. Oh yes, it was legal, the pharmacist had a license and the doctor did also, but who knows this?
After three years of being addicted
the daughter was consuming thirty to thirty-five tablets daily, enough to kill a horse.
The mom also told me, "When the detox Centers refer patients to the Salvation Army Shelter for a night or two, the guests can stroll around in the neighborhood and get their fix for any drugs they want.” This is happening in Griffin, Georgia" she said.” And also in ANYTOWN, U.S.OF A."I must say.
What a damned shame this is going on, and I have no doubt that it's true .
So Mom's and Dad's, best you take a good look every chance you get to see what your children are looking at on their computers? It's happening every day, we are just not aware of the availability?
If your children have any mood swings or changes in their attitudes you better take a closer look at them?
If all of you had the opportunity to listen to this saddened mother you would definitely jump on the band wagon with me to help fight drug addiction.
Sincerely,
Everett

Horrible story, but it IS true. It happens in ANY TOWN, USA.
And--not from the internet either. Doctors at most (not all) pain clinics are legalized drug dealers. Go for back pain and they prescribe meds for PAIN. I had a dear friend who is hooked on Loratabs and can get them easily from the pain clinic. At one time she was on Oxy!!!!
She died of an overdose at 35, and I think the doctor should be held accountable for manslaughter! She was an addict who was in and out of rehabs and didn't NEED so much pain meds. He should have checked on this. But he just kept giving her pills. It's an epidemic in the USA.
Everyone says that the addict has a CHOICE. WELL of course they do, but they are incapable of making the CORRECT choice~! They are addicts!
Thanks for sharing.

| Where are the police and child protective services when this happens? I have been in severe pain for years, ( I have Lupus and DDS) and only after surgery was I taking Onycotin or Loratabs. Doctors just don't give them out for short term pain. How in the world could this teenager come up with a long term illness at the ripe old age of 17?? I believe there are some facts that the mother didn't tell you. Believe me, I am not naive and I have known about the internet drugstores for years. It is not as easy to obtain these opiates as she says. She could likely purchase Vicodin or Darvocet, but I find her story very unlikely. Even if she could sumit a legal perscription, the price would be outrageous. Just ask Rush Limbaugh. |
