P. Master, why must we meditate?
M. To learn the nature of our true essence.
P. Master, is there no other way?
M. yes but suicide is not honorable.
P. Master why are we not allready aware of such things?
M. Awareness is but a state of mind.
P. Master, I have trouble stilling my mind, what is the best method?
M. thoughts are like a seasonal spring it is only when we hold them that they turn into rivers. They cost little if we pay them no mind.
P. Master, what can be gained in understanding one-self?
M. Only fleeting moments of bliss, yet the true question should be; what is lost in the exchange.
P. What master will I have to lose?
M. Only an idea.
P. What idea master?
M. The idea of who you are, thats attached to and created by your your external realities.
P. Master how is that a moment of bliss can undermine our entire belief structure?
M. It doesn't , yet the true question should be; why should external realities be undermined.
P. Then why is it master that we must question such things?
M. Because we did not quetion them prior to their acceptance. All physical realities are polarized, they are either a fundamental requirement or an imagined one. Tell me young man, what does the fire require to burn?
P. Only fuel and oxygen.
M. Yet it consumes all in its path when left unabated. Our inner truth reveals to us our own fundamental requirements making all else fuel for the fires of the ego.
