legoless says:

Shalom Holly

HollyH says:

shalom

HollyH says:

I am so glad I met you, being new to the US, I don't have any friends

legoless says:

I am glad we have met as well, my best firned just moved to Tenesse

HollyH says:

Tennesse? Where is this?

legoless says:

Across the country, over two thousand miles away

HollyH says:

wow, I am sorry to hear that

legoless says:

you speak English well, how did you learn?

HollyH says:

my mother is american, where I have my Jewish roots

legoless says:

Oh duh i should have remembered, you will have to excuse me

HollyH says:

my father is japanese, practicing budism

HollyH says:

so, I have an interesting religious background, to say the least

legoless says:

yeah we are Messianic Jews

HollyH says:

as are my family

legoless says:

And my Aunt Kendra and Aunt Louisa are Pentecostals, Evangelical Christians

Pentecostals, Evangelical Christians

HollyH says:

I'm not familar with this religion

legoless says:

they believe much like we do, that Jesus was the Messiah, and that he will return to earth to take up those who believe in him, that there will be a tribulation period

that there will be a tribulation period

HollyH says:

oh, I understand

legoless says:

Where those left on earth will suffer greatly, and it will be harder and harder for those who turn to Yeshua after the return of Christ will find great suffering and will have to take on the mark of Satan

legoless says:

In order to survive, and with the mark they can not enter the Kingdown of Heaven

legoless says:

But I am probably boring you with the details I sometimes tend to go on and on

HollyH says:

you will have to pardon my slowness. I am just starting to use my english, it's a bit "rusty" I believe you would say. We only speak japanese in my home

legoless says:

for just starting to use your English you are doing well

HollyH says:

thank you, I feel so self conscious

legoless says:

it's only natural to feel that way

HollyH says:

I start american school on Monday, and I am so nervous

legoless says:

I often feel self conscious myself

legoless says:

I am homeschooled myself

HollyH says:

I have often wished I was homeschooled

HollyH says:

I hope you were not bothered by my siblings the other day

legoless says:

Why would I be, they were only curious as to what happened to me?

HollyH says:

they can be very trying on the nerves at times

legoless says:

I have sisters myself

legoless says:

I think its only natural that they be

HollyH says:

and then there is the stress and excitement of being new to America

legoless says:

Yes I understand that my sister Maddie was that way when she came to us from Israel, Danniella came from Israel as well but she was younger so she adapted quicker

HollyH says:

you sister is from Israel?

legoless says:

Yes we adopted them when they were Orphaned due to the war

HollyH says:

that's amazing

legoless says:

Yeah its like they have always been part of the fami;y

legoless says:

family

HollyH says:

what do your parents do?

legoless says:

My Father's a lawyer, my Mom stays home with us, but is acrively involved in other activities including teaching others what Messianic Judaism is about

HollyH says:

oh

legoless says:

She also helps her twin sister Louisa who has Muscular Dystrophy when that is necessary, or my Aunt Kendra who has over two dozen children who were all adopted and is now having triplets, she too is in a wheelchair, but that doesnt slow Aunt Kendra down any

HollyH says:

You must think me terribly rude. I appoligize. I should not be asking such personal questions. Please Pardon my rudeness

legoless says:

I am sorry I am probably overwhelming you, I tend to go on and on at times

HollyH says:

it's ok. You are fine.

HollyH says:

Well, if I may speak freely, my disability is not as obvious as yours, no offense.

legoless says:

mine wasnt until I lost my legs, I have something called Pain Insentivity disorder, which led to infections that caused me to loose my legs, and the spinal cord injury was caused by a bullet

HollyH says:

I have type one diabeties and must have my blood sugar regulated by an insulin pump

legoless says:

ugh sorry to hear that

HollyH says:

it is part of the reason we came to America, so I could receive the necessary medical care

legoless says:

I am glad you are getting the necessary care

HollyH says:

me too, things have been much better after going on my pump

HollyH says:

I was having to take six shots a day before.

legoless says:

Not fun

HollyH says:

no, not at all. I was quite sore, as you can imagine

legoless says:

I do not feel needles so they dont bother me much, but I would hate to have six shots a day

legoless says:

Actually I do not know what pain feels like

legoless says:

It's part of my disability

HollyH says:

I can't imagine what that would be like

legoless says:

some wish they never felt pain, but believe me it is a blessing when it warns you of dangers, I have had serious burns and even broke bones without even knowing it before

HollyH says:

that's horrible

legoless says:

But I do like to think negatively, I know I was put on this earth for a reason and Yeshua will use me

legoless says:

My best friend Susie thinks I have a Pollyanna complex

HollyH says:

Pollyanna?

legoless says:

which means I am usually upbeat

legoless says:

And old Movie, and book

HollyH says:

oh, I understand

HollyH says:

I fear I will never catch on to this American culture and will be laughed at in school

legoless says:

you will do fine

legoless says:

I believe that

HollyH says:

I fear I will never fit in

legoless says:

But if you want to be homeschooled why aren't you, my Mom is a certified teacher, and she can homeschool you if necessary

HollyH says:

my mother is a physician and my father is a teacher, at the college.

legoless says:

wow

HollyH says:

My mother opperates on brains and my father teaches mathmatics

legoless says:

wow

legoless says:

Math is my worst subject, everything else I am far better at

HollyH says:

I do well in math, but I guess you can see why.

legoless says:

yeah

HollyH says:

I've been doing equations since I was three!

legoless says:

Wow

Wow

HollyH says:

everyone here seems to think that is odd. I don't know why

legoless says:

I fear I must be going shortly tomorrow we have to take part in the walk for life, and then drive to Modesto for Synagogue, we are going to the later service

HollyH says:

we are going to the early service, I believe

legoless says:

we usually do

HollyH says:

my family are early risers

legoless says:

ours generally are to, especially with two nine month olds

HollyH says:

my parents usually rise at 4 and the rest of my family are up by 5:30

legoless says:

my Dad is generally up by four working on legal documents, BORING!

HollyH says:

he sounds smart

legoless says:

He is and a great Dad too

HollyH says:

I can imagine

HollyH says:

he seems very affectionate

HollyH says:

people in my culture are not as affectionate as in the american culture.

legoless says:

He won't be going to Synagogue with us tomorrow though because Danniella is sick with a bad cold and he told Mom that she should go without him, Danniella is a Daddy's girl

legoless says:

wow

HollyH says:

affection is centered around celebrating accomplishments

HollyH says:

I hope you sister feels better soon.

legoless says:

it is sometimes that way in America too, but not with our family

legoless says:

thank you I am sure she will soon

HollyH says:

it was nice talking to you. I hope I get to do it again some time.

legoless says:

I look forward to that

HollyH says:

me as well

legoless says:

I will see you sometime tomorrow now that we are neighbors I am sure

HollyH says:

I hope so
