Cajun-Gurl and Nick305 have another early morning conversation via their computers.

Cajun-Gurl says,

Hey! Nick! You there? Helloooooooo!!

Nick305 ssys:

Yah, it's me. What time is it? It's not even fully light out! It's earrrrrly!!

Cajun-Gurl says,

I know, but I have been up since six, not even fifteen minutes ago. Besides, I hadda' tell you about what we're doing for our mama today, for Mom's Day.

Nick305 says:

What are you doing for your moms in honor of Mother's Day?

Cajun-Gurl says:

Oh, we're takin' her out to eat after church, and we're giving her a present that we kids made for her, only she doesn't know it yet.

Nick305 says:

Where are you taking your mom to eat?

Cajun-Gurl says:

Fire Mountain.

Nick305 says:

That's cool. I like Fire Mountain, but I like Golden Corral better.

Cajun-Gurl says:

I like both. It doesn't matter: both places are good. I like the wide selection that Golden Corral has, and I like the veggies and potatoes at Fire Mountain. Their steaks and baked potatoes are good, too, and I like their breakfasts.

Nick305 says:

You just like to eat PERIOD, Ronee'.

Cajun-Gurl says:

LOL I know; I am a food junkie! Whee! LOL

Nick305 says:

And yet you stay so skinny! You make me jealous! I LOOK at food, and I gain fifty pounds! I'm a regular butterball!

Cajun-Gurl says:

Hey!

Nick305 says:

What?

Cajun-Gurl says:

How did we get on the subject of weight? Weren't we talkin' about mothers and Mother's Day?

Nick305 says:

You started it, Ronee'. You were the one talkin' about Fire Mountain and Golden Corral. Now I'm hungry! YOUR fault!

Cajun-Gurl says:

LOL Sorry!

Nick305 says:

I bet!

Nick305 continues:

ANYway, I am glad you are taking your moms out to eat and are giving her the plaque. She deserves to be spoiled, especially on a day like Mother's Day.

Cajun-Gurl says:

She deserves to be spoiled EVERY day!

Cajun-Gurl continues:

On that subject, Nick, what are you plannin' to do for YOUR mother for Mom's Day, hmmmm??

Nick305 says:

O, nothin' really, just tell her I love her, make her breakfast in bed while I still can use my hands before I have my stupid surgery.

Cajun-Gurl says:

You're really worried about your surgery, aren't you?

Nick305 says:

Yeah. I've had so many surgeries I have lost count.

Cajun-Gurl says:

Me, too. I've got so many scars I look like a war zone.

Nick305 says:

*PFFT* Not like ME! I've had to have surgery for my joints ever since I can remember! It's something I've lived with all my life. It seems like I'm always having to go to the hospital or to the doctor's for something! It really bites!

Cajun-Gurl says:

Sounds like my life, but lately I haven't had as much trouble with my breathing, or even my arthritis--other than the occasional flareup, that is. Then it knocks me for a loop.

Nick305 says:

Tell me about something I don't already know!

*silence from Cajun-Gurl*

Nick305 continues:

Are you there, Cajun-Gurl?? Hellloooooo!! Earth to Cajun-Gurl!!

Cajun-Gurl says:

Yeah. Just thinkin' is all.

Nick305 says:

Oh.

Nick305 continues:

You are lucky to be getting better with your health. You haven't had an asthma attack in months, and you have managed to stay out of the hospital for five months now.

Cajun-Gurl says:

Hey, not so fast. I had to go to the ER last week.

Nick305 says:

Is that why your hand is all bandaged up?

Cajun-Gurl says:

Yeah. I burned it while cookin'; splashed some hot water on it, suffered second degree burns, too. Do you know how hard it is to type with a bandaged paw??

Nick305 says:

No, but I can only imagine. Maybe when I have my hand surgery, I'll have to type by MOUTH!

Cajun-Gurl says:

Where there's a will, there's a way, as they say!

Nick305 says:

Yeah.

Cajun-Gurl continues:

My hand realllly hurts. *OW*

Nick305 says:

I'm sorry.

Cajun-Gurl says:

Me, too. I'm just glad this didn't happen while we were in Louisiana. That would have ruined the trip for sure!

Nick305 says:

Yeah. I am glad you had fun down there.

Cajun-Gurl says:

Me, too! Now we have Fan Fair to look forward to.

Nick305 says:

I've lived here all my life and never been.

To Fan Fair, that is.

Cajun-Gurl says:

Oh, it's a BLAST! We've gone since I was really little; I think there's only a few times where I've had to miss it on account of my being sick or something that's popped up unexpectedly. You ought to make it a point to go at least once. If you like country music, that's the place to be! You'll see all your favorite country stars; you never know who might show up! That's the beauty of Fan Fair! It's great!

Nick305 says:

Sounds like it.

Cajun-Gurl says:

Whoops! Well, family is up; I hear sounds from down the hall, and I hear mama talkin' to daddy. Gotta' go; gotta get ready for church and breakfast! Take care!

Nick305 says:

You too, Ronee'! Over and out!

Cajun-Gurl says:

Over and out! Catch ya on the flip-side! Au revoir!

Nick305 says:

'Bye, Ronee'!

Cajun-Gurl says:

Bye, Nicole! I love ya!

Nick305 says:

I love you too, Ronee'!

Karen,

I've said it before, I'll say it again; it's like you're listening to two girls talking. Well done! Compelling writing makes it seem you're there.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
