About My) Hair

This is a story about why I do not like to have my hair short.

I know it may sound silly, but so many people I know tell me I look great with my hair short.  I tell them thanks for the compliment(s), but the truth of the matter is that I hate having my hair cut short.  When I was younger I had several brain operations, which meant having my head shaved.  My mother still tells me how cute I look with my hair short, and how I always used to look cute when my hair was growing back. During this time in my life I would get into a lot of fights at home because I would get headaches so severe that I would need to leave the dinner table and go lie down, and this used to irritate my father.  As a result of these headaches I also missed most of the school year in the third grade.  From this time on until 15 years ago when I moved into my own apartment, my relationships with my family were fairly strained, but now have gotten much better now that I am able to be more independent.  I will say this; having my hair short does make it easier for me to take care of it myself.
