finally a new story available, read on for details where it can be found. On AuthorsDen: The notes for the story so readers don't get too confused on why the story was written.

Author's Notes On the short story,  Misguidance:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket This was the first freebie story I am providing in a long time because I've been busy writing my non-fiction book and editing Tabloid Purposes IV.  I will write more the background on here for the story for those who are reading this for AuthorsDen.   It is an exclusive to the website I have at, and for those who are on here I will have the link over to that story for those who want to read it.   It inspired a new rewrite of the non-fiction book I started in 2005.    It was written before I wrote the longer vampire story called Blood Contender.  The idea was there for nearly 12 years after the former guidance counciler I had who screwed me out of taking my ACT/SAT tests.   I wrote this also from the apartment, and I didn't really write that many stories from there but I managed to write some short stories there.  This was written in March 2007,  but it was on the computer that I had over there at the time.
When I moved back to the Joliet area,  I managed to get the computer and now the story is available.  I went back and redesigned the website and included this story in the archive.   Terry Vinson suggested that I do a collection of my real-life short stories but I think doing the non-fiction book will cover the bill in that sense.  This short story became the blueprint for the third rewrite of the book.  So with that being said -- here's the story Misguidance, and if you're looking for a non-fiction fix on a longer scale check out the story The Pattern of Diagnosis in the fifth issue of The Ethereal Gazette --  well until I get that non-fiction book finished.  Those interested in doing a story by story review of the magazine and got it legitimately,  drop me an e-mail because there are a few publications that I want to see the magazine covered in it.   Misguidance like Spectral Exile will have some non-fiction elements in the story but the difference between the two is that Misguidance is more semi-autobiographical in the way it is delivered.  Misguidance is more Edgar Allan Poe-esque in the way it is delivered while Spectral Exile has a more contemporary horror feel.
I wanted to set the cold tone that the non-fiction book will have when I wrote this story and you can go ahead and read it over on another site by clicking the link following this message below.   This was going to be a story I was going to include on Tabloid Purposes IV but a few authors voted on the story that I should include since the tone is a lot darker for the series,  so I am including an older story I wrote about the time when I penned Ghosts In The Tornado.  The story was actually finished a few days before that story was written,  I quickly mashed away at  the keyboard and that story was done -- I sent Insomnia Magazine The Drive By Ghost first then they told me it was too long for the magazine so I quickly pounded the now story that is the August/July 2006 issue of that magazine and it was now picked up by Dagstine's magazsine.   So with the larger of the three stories being published in the fourth installment -- I finally wanted to do a freebie story that is short enough to be read online, but long enough to keep readers reading until the end.  The story posted is very cold and nihilistic in the way it is delivered much as the book's new rewritten version.
Misguidance is a dark short story that will tie into the Library of Bones trilogy as they appear on Collectives In A Forsaken Landscape.  This is a stand alone story, but Library of Bones will be a large project that will span out at least ten stories when it is all said and done -- who knows I might end up revisiting Library of Bones a few years from now and make it a novel.  That story will always be a work in progress.   This story is shorter than Library of Bones and about the same length as Halloween Girl which was written originally in 2004.   Robert Montesino once said,  "I wish I wrote a story like Halloween Girl," and this is a story that will be not user-friendly and if you're originally from my Graduation class and went to Glenbard East -- read at you own risk because it is a brutal sketch on a guidance councilor who managed to fuck over my chances at going to a university.  This story was written in about two hours and one of my room mates got to read this one as work in progress. The reaction he got when I wrote this story was nearly the same when I wrote Ghosts In The Tornado,  the hand over mouth saying,  "Oh shit,  dude,  you're going to piss so many people off with this one."  As with the short story, Ghosts In The Tornado,   this story also has elements that will call to mind something of the Twilight Zone in the way the storytelling is delivered.
In conclusion,  Misguidance is a lost story from earlier this year -- 2007 I didn't write too many shorter stories because of all the longer ones I've been working on but when they come out in the short form -- they will arrive with the force of a tornado.  If you're on you can review on them all you want,  and here if you want to review the story just click on the title and keep reading.  Mainstream Literature with tinges of Gothic Horror infused with it.  The end of this story will take you into Library of Bones.  This short story is listed under Contemporary Literature on but some will tell right now that it has a dark element in tehre much as my horror stories do, but this isn't quite a horror story.
This managed to inspire my non-fiction book re-write and the non-fiction book will be coming out via Angry Guinea Books.

I really like the psychological perspective within this story, the psychological aspect of horror is something that I often find more chilling than mere physical violence or gore; as you've said -- horror is an imitation of life, and I agree with that in some ways. Everyone is a player on the stage of life, and we all interact with eachother in ways that are more important than we really think. Enjoyed this one. Have a good day.
