Dear Journal~
Sarah Wright here.
I am happy to report that Wayne's recovery is going without incident. He had a kidney transplant back in December, on Christmas Day; he hasn't had any unforseen problems; however, he's on anti-rejection medication for the rest of his life. Every day he's getting stronger; it's most encouraging.
Secondly of all, he got a letter from his sister, Audrey. Audrey and Wayne have had a "falling-out"; yet Audrey wants to start over again, try to pick up where their relationship left off. Wayne was very happy to hear from his sister; he is expected to write to her any time.
I think Wayne realized that he was "pushing his faith" on Audrey, and Audrey got mad; so he backed off. Wayne has always been "on fire for the Lord", and sometimes he can't contain the joy he feels in his heart. It's only natural. The Lord has been very good to us; we are indeed blessed in more ways than you can possibly imagine!
Wayne has been enjoying his time off, his time with the children. The children have been a big help to their daddy; even the baby, Rheese, is much happier, now that his daddy is home all of the time.
We are very proud of our children.
Now that Wayne's off his dialysis treatments, he's felt better than he has in ages. He has more energy, more stanima, more "get up and go". It seems that he never stops at times; I am always having to tell him to slow down; he's still recovering from surgery; he shouldn't overdo it! After all, it's been a little less than a month since he had his surgery!
Just the other day, he wanted to play 18 holes of golf, like he used to before his kidneys went bad. I told him no. He got annoyed; yet he caught my drift. He's already been sick; don't need him getting any sicker!!
I saw Louisiana Sandusky the other day with her family. Her new babies, now two months old, are absolutely adorable! They are both getting big, and they are happy babies; they hardly ever cry!
Louie looked tired, though: dark circles under her eyes, sallow complexion, thinner somehow. I am getting concerned about her; she needs to slow down!! Hear she's been working lots of hours at the hospital; she needs to take a vacation, get away!!
Maybe I ought to nominate them for "Extreme Home Makeover"; they could really use a good fixin' up on their home!! Even their home looks exhausted! :)
It's cold here. Temps in the teens, even had snow here. Supposed to remain below normal for the rest of this week, more snow expected here by mid-to-late week. I can't wait for spring; I don't like the cold or the snow!
Well, I have to go, take a shower, get ready. Wayne has his appointment with Dr. Jagadish today (post-surgical appointment). Hopefully he'll get good news from the good doctor. I'll let you know how that went. I'll write in here again soon. Take care and God bless!
~Sarah. :)
P.S.: My sister Serenity took great care of the children when Wayne was in the hospital. She calls every day to see how he's doing, which is very nice of her to do.
She'll be writing in here as well; so don't be surprised to hear from Serenity!
