The Ronee' Files: Heart Attack City! (The Super Bowl!)

Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux is very happy at how things turned out during last night's Super Bowl where the underdog New York Giants upset the favored New England Patriots.

Where is the oxygen when you need it??

I watched the durn football game last night; during the last minute of the game, the New York Giants managed to score, beating the favored New England Patriots 17-14.

It was a game for the ages: the New England Patriots had just finished a perfect 18-0 season, beating all opponants who crossed their (deadly) path. They were favored to get all the glory; however, here came the New York Giants with nothing but a wing and a prayer.  In the last moments of the game, they delivered the goods when it counted the most.

You should have heard the Giants fans last night at the Super Bowl Party: complete madness. They started jumping up and down, screaming like a bunch of wild Indians. I was screaming too; I was rooting for the Giants. (Think I hurt myself; think I left my tonsils back at church! LOL)

If I could have jumped, believe me, I would have. Instead, I just stood there, bouncing on my crutches, yelling my fool head off. I was extremely pleased at how the game turned out. When that guy caught that pass, I swear I stopped breathing!! LOL

That was when I wished that there was some oxygen available; I could have gone into asthma overdrive! LOL

Luckily I didn't, but boy, was the ol' heart pumpin'! LOL

After the game was over, we had fellowship with the fans who came to the party, and we porked out on what food was left. I had nacho cheese on corn chips, ham and bacon sandwiches (I had three), five cans of Coke Classic, and some fried jalapenos. *BURRRRRRRP*

(I had  heartburn later on in the night. I had to wake up to take something to calm it down. I was pretty miserable!)

Note to self: don't eat jalapenos or nacho cheese before bedtime. NOT a good idea! No siree! LOL

At school today, the kids who were rootin' for the Pats kept giving me a hard time, saying that the game was rigged. I didn't say anything; I just walked away, grinning like a stupid idiot, laughing under my breath. :)

The weather is supposed to warm up before severe storms come callin' sometime tomorrow afternoon/evening. Nice. Just what I did NOT want to hear. I am sure my arthritis will be rearin' its ugly head tomorrow. *OW* Time to spend some extra time soakin' in the tub and makin' sure I don't forget my pills! That would NOT be good if I forgot them!!

Well, this isn't much, but I had to write about the football game. It was magical, and it was beyond thrilling! I am so happy it ended the way it did; had the Pats won I would have been "furry-ous"!! GRRRR!!

I will write in here again soon; take care and God bless!

~Luv, your gal pal, Ronee' Le-Anne (New York Giants Rule, New England Patriots drool!! LOL). :D

Although a 49rs myself, that pass clinching the superbowl was for the story books, you see they grabbing him from everywhere and the jersey?
and despite all that he could make that precise throw?
Maybe its good that the Patriots got whipped, they thought that it was to be a piece of cake...right!!! in their faces!!!!!!!

Man, it WAS a great game: the last quarter, the last minute--whoo, boy! Wonder how many heart attack and asthma victims wound up in the ER? Especially New England Patriots fans. Holysmokes, bet the paramedics were kept hopping (and cussin', 'cause they missed most of it?) LOL Well done!!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
