Michiko Osaka here. Ohaiyo! Genki deska?
I am doing a little better; have been sick with the flu. It was a very bad case; it was that weird flu that nobody knew what to do about, the kind that they didn't have any vaccinations for.
I was so sick I was in the hospital for a week; got out last week; still not feeling my best: coughing uncontrollably, chest sore from all that coughing, throat still pretty sore; at least the fever is gone. (I hope!)
I am sorry for not writing; now you know why you haven't heard from me.
I will be returning back to work next week; doctor tells me to pace myself, take it easy; he doesn't want me to suffer a relapse.
I don't blame him, really.
Weather hasn't been helping: cold/snowy one day, sunny, warm (or rainy) the next. It's no wonder so many people have been out sick; if it isn't a cold or a sinus infection, it's this darned flu. The flu has gotten a grip on the nation; many people have ended up in the hospital; worse, some have died from complications.
I am sitting here in the livingroom, listening to "American Idol". There's a lady originally from Ireland singing now; she's not quite bad. There have been some wonderful singers this year; it seems to be the year for those younger than 20.
I'm also writing on my computer, anything to try to keep my mind from getting more stale. I haven't been doing much since being in the hospital; am concentrating on getting better, stronger. It isn't easy!
Heard from my former nurse Louisiana Sandusky; she's doing well: busy with her family, working many extra hours at the hospital; let's hope that good things continue to happen to her.
She called earlier this evening, right before the six o'clock news, to see if I needed anything. I told her no; but thanks for thinking of me.
Louisiana is a true angel here on Earth; the world needs more Lousiana Sanduskys! :)
Well, I am going to take my evening medications (antibiotics) that the doctor gave me upon getting out of the hospital; beforehand I am going to make myself a cup of hot chicken/rice soup. Anything to knock this crap out of my system!!
I'm so sick of being sick and tired!! I want to get well!!
Take care; will write another day! Sayonara!
Love, your friend, Michiko O. :)
