Ronee' writes in her journal before turning in for the night.

Saturday, April 5, 2008, Nashville, TN, 11:18 p.m., D.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

Hey!  Ronee' here!  How's tricks?

Hope y'all are doing fantabulous; me, I can't complain!  Life is indeed sweet for this Cajun gal! :)

Heard from Rebekkah Cohen; she's doing super well, as are Susie Callaway and Rebekkah's family.  Great to hear!  She's had a rough road to travel these past few months; she doesn't need any more drama in her life!

Hopefully the bad times are finally behind her--for good! :)

I pray that they are!

As for me, I am still practicing for my upcoming audition in June in Las Vegas; gettin' a bit nervous, but with the Lord's help, I hope to do well!  I know I will; with Jesus' assistance, I shouldn't have to worry!

I'm also getting ready to go to Louisiana next month; performing at the Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge; also going to be singing at the CMA Music Festival; then it's my audition, as well as some minor festivals here around the Nashville area.  Typical summertime pattern: it's when I do most of my performing because the weather usually co-operates. :)

I have been watching You-Tube; found some darling cat vids as well as a vid of five girls singing the National Anthem; they're from Lubbock, Texas, and they're called "The Cactus Cuties".  They range in age from 13 down to eight years, and they are absolutely fantastic!  They've had over 2 million hits, and they are quickly becoming the next new sensation in music!

I also saw some vids of the original Star Search, where this young five year old girl sang "Over The Rainbow" (name was Alisan Porter; she's now grown; she was a child star in the eighties).  I enjoyed that too.

I talked to my friend Nicole: she's feeling better; she had a flare, just got out of the hospital yesterday, says she's tired of being sick.  Oh, boy, do I know that for a fact! When I'm sick, I swear my whole life stops; I'm always so glad when I recover!!  There's nothing worse than  having to go to the hospital!

At times I swear they love using me as a dart board--or a pincushion!!  All those blood sticks; all those needles!! ARGGGH!!!!

I think a boy at school likes me.  Name's Michael; they call him "Stinko".  He's okay, but I'm really not into the dating scene just yet; too young.  Have to be sixteen before I date; still have eight months to go before I'm "eligible".  Mama's rulez, ya know??

Well, I am going to close up shop; gotta get some sleep if I want to be awake for breakfast/church tomorrow.  I will write in here again soon; take care and may God bless you mightily!

Good night! Don't let the bed bugs bite! :)

~Luv, your gal pal, Ronee' Le-Anne. :D

There's nothing like singing to enrich the feel-good factor and to lift the mood and soul. Ronee should be in good voice for church today! I wonder, if she's into Cajun, whether she knows of The Pine Leaf Boys from Baton Rouge? They performed last summer at my tiny little clifftop pub and the whole place was stomping with their rockin vibe! Go Ronee! We look forward to hearing of her good progress through the audition.
