They say "One good turn deserves another" right?
Every time I read something from that PEE-WEE POLLACK - I get so inspired to comment, then it gets longer and longer, and then when done - I simply copy and paste my comment into WORD, save it, then post it.
He sure knows how to "STIR THE POT" - doesn't he?
If you want a real treat, just GOOGLE - TREES by Joyce Kilmer - and besides his CLASSIC, also read about his background. As a kid, I always ASSUMED Joyce was Female!

And a Happy and Blessed ARBOR DAY to you, SIR ED!
BACK IN 1979 - we had just moved into our new custom-built Rancher in Westminster, Maryland, out in the beautiful rolling hills of Carroll County. It was a 2.16 acre lot, at the bottom of a cul-de-sac, totally barren, and devoid of all vegetation.
I went to the county Forestation Service and purchased 300 little Pine saplings. We stretched out a long line at each side of our property lines, and the wife, kids, and I started working. A simple SLICE into the earth, then wiggle the spade back and forth - then someone gingerly placed the little fellas into the hole. A third person then tamped the ground back in place. It took many, many hours of careful tedious labor, but it was a Family project, and done with Love - and Blessed by God Himself!
Spaced about three feet apart, these little 'twigs' were barely visible at first. In fact, several later were either accidentally MOWED by our little riding mower, or run over by neighbor kids, riding their motorbikes --- BUT --- when we sold that home and moved, about 5 years later, the greater majority of those TREES had taken root, and were growing strong and tall.
When I visited my old friends and former neighbors, the ANDERSON's - 20 YEARS LATER - what a MAJESTIC SIGHT --- and what a WONDERFUL FEELING OF PRIDE - I DID THAT!
FLORA - FAUNA - ARBORS - PEACE - TRANQUILITY - NATURE - BEAUTY - SENSE -
WHAT MIRACLE HATH GOD WROUGHT?
AND YET, MAN IN HIS CALLOUSNESS AND STUPIDITY DEFILES - HOW SAD!
PEACE ... TOM. PLANT A TREE FOR POSTERITY!

|"...stirs the pot." That he does, Tom...that he does. Nice remembrances of your family tree-planting.

|I'm extremely delighted that this Pee Wee Pollack inspired you to tell us about your tree planting project:
"It took many, many hours of careful tedious labor, but it was a Family project, and done with Love - and Blessed by God Himself!"
I believe that it was. Most blessed events take lots of hard work, and we truly need many more to follow your fine example today.
