Dear Journal~
Johnny here. Know I just wrote in here a few days ago, but I'm way excited about things that will be happening to me.
I hope you understand.
Next weekend, we're performing at the Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge ("we" meaning Ronee' and myself). We're performing next Saturday night on the 10th; we're performing right after Hunter Hayes and just before Belton Richard takes to the stage. Ronee' 's sung there oodles of times before; this is only my second appearance there.
Hope we do well!! Pray that we do!! There's nothing I hate more than messing up on stage!!
Then in June, we're singing at the CMA Music Festival here in Nashville. I'll be performing during the Young Country Search (or whatever it's called! LOL), and Ronee' will be performing as part of the line up for the Cajun Showcase.
Before that, though, we'll be performing as part of the Military/Memorial Day Celebration at Centennial Park; we've done it once before, and we've been asked to participate this year. This is our second time.
Then in July it's the July Fourth of July BLAST! here in Nashville, and Ronee' has her audition in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she's auditioning for a chance to win a spot for the televised portion of "America's Got Talent". If she makes it there, she'll advance to the semi finals, then a chance for the finals, which will be in August.
Lots of big things for both of us, as you can see.
Life is going well, not only for me and Ronee', but the whole family. Nobody sick or dying (thank goodness!), and Rebekkah is getting used to using her chair all the time. She is trying to deal with the fact that she is adopted (all this time she thought Naomi and Micah were her real parents; now it doesn't seem to be the case). She's really having a difficult time now.
I wish she were closer to me, so I could be her support system. She needs a lot of prayer and encouragement during this difficult time in her life.
Kendra may get some of her kids back. The state of Tennesse questioned her abilities as a mother, so they took the youngest kids away. Now she may get some of them back, which would be a huge answer to prayer. I pray she gets all of them back; there was nothing wrong with her taking care of them in the first place, and she's a way better mom than most, even though she's in a wheelchair!!
I tell you, some people are so stupid when it comes to dealing with people who are disabled! It's like God didn't give them any brains!! They drive me insane at times!!
It's like that Little League player in North Carolina or somewhere that way: he got banned from the game because he has to wear oxygen and uses a tank. He has a condition where his lungs don't grow; he's been on oxygen for six years now. I guess the baseball people see that as a hindrance, so he got banned from the game, which is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard of!
I heard that on the news tonight, and I couldn't believe it!!
It's like if I were banned because I have a trache and use a power wheelchair. Does that make me any less able to play baseball? No!! I happen to love playing baseball, and being this way hasn't stopped me!
Well, I know this isn't much, but I have school tomorrow. I have to get my beauty sleep! LOL I will write in here again, maybe when we're headin' towards Louisiana or when we're at the Crawfish Festival, when there's a lull in the action. Until then, this is your pal, Johnathon, signing off! Take care and God bless you always!
~Love, your pal, Johnathon. :D (I'm not so much into the Johnny thing any more; that makes me sounds like a little kid!!)
