Dear Journal~
Johnathon here. Hope you are well. Sorry for not writing for the past week, but have been busy like you wouldn't believe!!
We just got back from Louisiana on Tuesday; we're still tired!! We had a great time in Breaux Bridge; we ate ourselves 'til our bellies wer ready to pop, and we listened to a lot of great Cajun music.
Speaking of Cajun music, I performed Saturday night, and I played accordion with Belton Richard. It was a lot of fun; Belton was impressed with my skills. That meant a lot to me 'cause Belton is like one of the premier legends of Cajun music!
My sister, Ronee', wowed the crowd with her singing and musicianship on the fiddle and accordion. She sang her usual Cajun songs, but she also did some traditional country, and even yodeled!! She did great!!
The weather in Breaux Bridge was beautiful: sunny, warm, not too hot, nice, warm breezes. Perfect for Mother's Day weekend. We took mama out to eat at Mulate's, and we kids gave her a card we'd made. She cried, as usual; she is such a softheart!!
Daddy got mama a new pair of diamond earrings; she lost her pair he'd gotten her last year, and she was devastated. I guess the back fell off one of the earrings, and the earring came out of the hole. Daddy felt bad because he'd paid a pretty penny for those earrings! Now she has a new pair; hopefully she won't lost them this time around.
Maybe she needs to glue the earring to her earlobes: with superglue! LOL
I'm doing good: no problems with my MD, hope it lasts. It's been a little while since I was last in the hospital (almost five months now, something of a record for me! LOL). Hope this trend continues!!
My little brother Bjorn's been with us now for a year; he's really blossomed into a cute, loving little boy. He still can't see or hear or talk, but he can communicate with sign language, and he can make his wants/needs known. He's not nearly as wild as he used to be. He used to be a terror!!
And you should see Emir: he's now two, and he is a little pistol! He's into everything, and he's one of the noisiest kids I have ever known in my life!! You hear him before you see him, and he's taken to pinching people with his hooks! I have gotten pinched by him a time or two, and let me tell you, those prosthetic hooks HURT!! OW!! I have the bruises to prove it! LOLOL
Now we wait for the Memorial Day concert, then we go to the CMA Music Festival. Ronee' also has her tryout for "America's Got Talent" in Las Vegas next month, so we have that to look forward to as well. A most busy summer for us!!
In between gigs on the stage, I plan on doing lots of playing, just lazing about, with nothing on the brain but fun, fun, fun!! School will be over in just a few short weeks, and I can't wait!! I'm getting moldy here, folks!! LOL
I'm more'n ready for this school year to END!!!!
I have summer fever REALLY bad!! LOL
Well, gotta' go: study hall fixin' to end; gotta' motor on over to my next class (English). I will write in here again soon; take care, and may God bless you always!
~Love, your pal, Johnathon. :D
