Mine Eyes Have Seen.....
Romans 12:2 - Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].(AMP)
Greetings in the name of the most high God, Elohim! Peace and mercy be yours today! Hallelujah! He who has promised is faithful!!
I want to share with you a statement from the "Prayers that availeth much " book. Many years ago I was given a copy of this book, but I failed to read the front of the book until a few years ago. Now, with every new edition, I read the introduction as well as the personal confessions. It is too easy to just go straight to the prayers...thinking our need is of the uttermost importance, oft times more important than the word itself.
This morning as I read it AGAIN I was reminded of something I want to share with you: "We can spend fruitless hours in prayer if our hearts are not prepared beforehand. Preparation of the heart, the spirit, comes from meditation in the Father's Word, meditation on what we are in Christ, what he is to us, and what the Holy Spirit can mean to us as we become God-inside minded. As God told Joshua (Josh 1:8), as we meditate on the Word day and night, and do according to all that is written, then shall we make our way prosperous and have good success. We are to attend to God's Word, submit to His saying, keep them in the center of our hearts, and put away contrary talk. (Prov. 4:20-24)"
I know without a doubt that I have spent many fruitless hours "praying" out of need and pure frustration. I truly dislike it when my children whine. It makes my heart sad. If I've said wait or in a minute - I want them to wait without the whining. I want to know that they trust me enough to know that my word means what it is. I want them to believe that I will make good what has been promised. I believe that our heavenly Father is sad when we whine and moan and complain, also. I am guilty of not believing him. I can tell when I haven't spent enough time in the word. My heart embraces fear and my mind entertains negative thoughts.
We must attend to God's Word. We must submit to His sayings. We MUST keep them in the center of our heart, AND PUT AWAY CONTRARY TALK. Yesterday, I was at the end of sharing a lesson in fear and trust the Father had so graciously provided, when the person I was talking to began to say, "Well that's all fine and good, but..." I cut her off. She was about to toss a seed of doubt into the new soil of my heart. God had taken the time to lead me into trusting him in a specific area - removing fear - as he did so. If I'd allowed her to finish her statement - doubt would begin to germinate again in the "back" of my mind.
So this day, 12 hours, I will attempt to just trust God. His grace is sufficient. He is Jehovah-Jireh. He is Jehovah-Shalom. Selah I will spend 5 minutes of each of those hours praying in the spirit. Remember: Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) THINGS HOPED FOR - THINGS NOT SEEN
Do not be conformed to this world and its customs and traditions. Debt isn't a kingdom principle, neither is sickness. These things are worldly. We are to be partakers of the divine nature, for we are heirs with him who sits at the Father's right hand.(Heb. 1:1-3)
Substance and evidence; Faith, without it we cannot even please God. Now I must go, I have to make snack. <smile>
2 Peter 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
