It's been awhile since I have written, life has found me busy, I found myself invovlved in various activities over the fourth of July Holiday, being a vet who sacrificed for my country, I am grateful for the time we take to celebrate the lives of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice their lives, and I will continue to thank God for all those who were willing to die for our freedom. I survived the war but lost my legs, but I am here to watch my children grow up and I am more than thankful for that.
I am sorry to say there are still narrow minded people out there, who hurl insults at me and at the other vets telling me I should not have only lost my legs but my life as well, but in my opinion that is just pure childishness.
My husband and my children are fully supportive of me though, and my service to the country, but I dont really think of myself as doing anything extra ordinary, I just did what I felt like I needed to do.
The Lord has blessed me with being able to come back from my service to the country alive, and has taught me that if I can overcome loosing both of my legs, I can overcome anything, and I am more than grateful for the daily lessons the Lord has taught me.
God Bless
