The White Lady

The white lady walks through a garden painted with all the colors of the rainbow. Her long white gown drags behind her while her parasol tips gently over her one shoulder. She stops to take in the fragrence of the flowers then carries on to the small foot bridge that spans over a small brook behind her home. She comes here to dream of kings and queens and days long long gone by. She sits on her favorite bench and closes her eyes and smiles. She sees a boy with golden hair his face youthfully pink. He beckons her to dance with him there in the flowers. She dances and twirls with such grace and poise that she doesnt stop to hear the noise. A voice calls to her and brings her back this time. But she'll come back tomorrow to dream of him again. She climbs the marble stair case and is escorted back to her room. She sits again by the window and doesnt say a word. Her hand slowly rises to the locket around her neck as the noise fills her head. A young woman appears and stays to watch and sighs to herself.
"Poor thing, she still doesnt know he's dead."

Never have I read something so sad, that is so beautiful and inspiratonal. I do not know whether to cry ... or pinch myself for being, thankfully, alive!

Warm regards ...

Good story with a sad ending. It is o.k. to end sadly sometimes when the story is appropriate.
