2:12 A.M Nashville TN
I can not sleep, so instead I thought I would write about the wonderful things the Lord has done for me, I am truly blessed to be here, I should have died, more than once, but the Lord has kept me here for a reason.
My name is Kia Mason, I am the daughter of Kendra Mae Mason. (adopted, but she is more of a Mom than my real Mom ever dreamed of being.) A couple of years ago an infection took my leg, and nearly took my life, but by the Grace of God I am still here, and less than a year later I was raped, and beaten so bad that I suffered brain damage, I had to work my way back to the level I was before, but Jesus has been faithful and I have been blessed.
My Mom offers Home to Children who need them, espeically children with disabilites, at first she only adopted girls, because that was what she felt she needed to do, but after Hurricane Katrina, Tyler came to us, and there was no way my Mom wanted to send him away, he had been through enough, so now I have brothers as well as Sisters, and the amazing thing is my Mom is in a wheelchair, she was born with Spina Biffida, and spent a lifetime beating the odds, not listening to the people who told her she couldn't do this, or she couldn't do that.
I am an amputee but I am also deaf, I have very little residual hearing, hearing aids, help some but not much, so I have become an expert at reading lips, sometimes people tend to forget though and I miss some things, but when they realize what they have done, they correct there mistakes, but being deaf has not been that big of a hindrance for me, I am a normal teen, who loves to be active, even with one leg, I can get around just fine on my crutches, I love going out into nature.
Well I am going to try and get some sleep, but I thought I would write a little bit about myself, and how the Lord has helped me overcome so much.
Love In Christ
