Terve! Miita kuuluu? Kiitos hyvaas!
Annike Josephine Terggen here. Sorry for not writing lately; my fibromyalgia has had my body locked, wouldn't let go. Today is the first time in a week where I've been able to move without screaming out in pain. It's really been bad!
My doctor has ordered me some new meds; hopefully it will take some of the edge off my illness. I hate it when my fibromyalgia acts up like this; it rules just about every aspect of my life. I can't get anything accomplished, and it sets me far back in all that I have to do.
He has ordered me a cane. He wants me to start using it, to take the pressure off my feet, knees. He thinks it would do me a world of good. I don't know; I don't want to look like I'm disabled. Other than my unrelenting pain/discomfort, I look like a normal person; why point out my problems to others?? Besides, I'm not even fifty yet; I don't need any cane!!
Weather doesn't help the fibro: cold, wind only makes it worse. When it's cold/windy/damp out, I stay in unless I have a meeting with my support group or have an appointment with the doctor. I stay in, sitting by the fireplace, wrapped up in blankets; I do anything to keep warm, try to help ease the pain. It's really annoying.
I heard from Louisiana Sandusky, the woman I told you about in my last entry, the one with all those kids. I will have to write her when I start feeling better. She seems like a very interesting person. She was telling me all about her kids, her marriage, her work. She wrote me a very long, newsy letter, also sent a picture of her family. So many colors, like a living rainbow!
Louisiana lives in the state of Tennessee, in Nashville, which is the home of country music amd the Grand Ole Opry.
I saw Sari yesterday: she brought her little boy, Erick; he is such a little cutie pie: walking, talking, into everything. Such an inquisitive little fellow; wish I had his energy! LOL Sari looks good, and her husband isn't half bad looking either! LOL
Well, I'm going to go; way too late for this nightowl to be up. I have to go to my sister Rachael's house, kidsit tomorrow. (That's going to help the fibro--NOT!! LOL) I will write again later on; take care, and God bless! This is Annike saying Nakemiin for now!
